Not to brag but I made a theory video a while back (3 weeks ago or so) predicting how Rex will appear in the Bad Batch and well, I was on point with my prediction. I also predicted most of the stuff that would happen in The Mandalorian Season Finale. If you'd like to see the said video or other similar ones be sure to check out my channel. What's sad is that poor Wrecker probably going to always have PTSD for nearly killing Omega.

Ever since they announced The Bad Batch I highly suspected that the aftermath of order 66 and how it affected clones would be the show's central narrative, with tragedy at its core.

@@LoreFreak The instant I first heard about the show and that it would take place immediately following *_Revenge of the Sith_* that it would have a pretty dark tone and possibly set up a very dark and sad ending for the clones.
It's like poetry...it rhymes. To think, it's probably been maybe 6 to 8 weeks since Order 66...so, the trauma of that experience is incredibly fresh in Rex's mind. He's now on the other end of the scenario, seeing what it must've been like for Ahsoka. This explains why he was so quick to draw his blaster, upon hearing that The Bad Batch had NOT removed their inhibitor chips.
If Wrecker hadn’t removed his inhibitor chip, he & Crosshair would have become the Imperial version of Knockout & Breakdown from Transformers Prime.
