He probably did. They knew that Bilaba’s apprentice, Caleb Dume, escaped. And later, I believe Tarkin says something about him being “called” Kanan, not “his name is” Kanan. The Empire knew that Caleb Dume was Kanan Jarrus. What they didn’t know was how huge of an impact he would have on them.

In a way, Nala Se is a sort of mother figure to Omega. And because of that bond, is why Nala hired Finnik Shand to protect Omega from Cad Bane and keep her from Lama Su.

Guys guys I think it’s kinda obvious here, if omega has the pure dna of jango then she is is some respects an altered clone. They tampered with the embryo and made the second unenhanced clone a female so they’d have a set. She doesn’t have any of the behavioral modifications or flash training she’s like exactly like boba… only the opposite gender

So if they regain favor with a new army (highly unlikely) they can keep the lights on. Where as option B, yes they will be under permanent jurisdiction of the empire but they’ll be bringing in supplies and keeping everyone in check and fed and they could serve a greater purpose of providing Palpatine with his cloning project

I think Omega is an unaltered clone who was created with the DNA of someone other than Jango. Personally, I'm thinking she's probably a clone of Jango's long-lost sister Arla Fett who was featured in Legends continuity.

@@Nogdog945 True, but she might've suffered a different fate in Disney-canon to in Legends, like Bib Fortuna's fate after 'Return of the Jedi'. A couple theories about how Omega might've tracked down Arla I've thought of are that perhaps Jango tracked her down himself, or maybe the Kaminoans tracked her down in secret after obtaining Jango's DNA so they could use Arla's DNA as a fallback in the event Jango's DNA sample started degrading and Boba became unavailable/incompatible (because as jango's sister, Arla would probably be pretty close to an ideal cloning template).

Too be honest. If Tarkin just kept the production of clones but just decrease the amount of acceleration of production then the empire would have been the strongest.

Unlikely actually. Too expensive, for one reason. Also with the empire incorporating separatist planets, I doubt those systems would want an army of clones they fought against. Clones are identical as well and any biological weapon that can target their DNA would obliterate the army. Most of all, the empire needs to keep the galaxy loyal and how better could they do it aside from employing them?

The Empire was building the Death Star already, so they probably didn't have the resources to keep the Clone army around. Plus, with the Death Star, they probably thought that alone would be enough to control the Galaxy eventually.

@@vdmur7952 doesn't work. The chips only activate throught Palpatine's Voice and only with Order 66. 65 is to arrest and remove the Chancellor from office but Palpatine literally erased the office the next day and made himself an Emperor so the orders literally do not compute

Weird to see the Kaminoans actually stick up for someone while the human is the character following brutal regulations and procedures. I know they are just salesmen trying to sell all their clones, but just uncharacteristic to see them try to take up for bad batch claiming they have never failed when Tarkin questions their obedience.

But obviously, since he was malformed he couldn't make the cut of fighting in the war and served as a janitor except during the battle of Kamino where he died. Then there's Boba and Omega. I know, they're pure genetic replications of Jango Fett, but considering that Nala Sei said five enhanced clones were all that remained, obviously she meant Omega and the four members of Clone Force 99. But what if Boba was an enhanced clone too. With 99 dead and Boba MIA, five enhanced clones are that's left accounted for.

It's funny how tarkin knows alot and he's the first one to figure out your not ready or right for the Job yet he completely acts like capable clones need to be replaced by future horrible recruits they never lived up to be half of a clone trooper . Tarkin messed up big time on this and it probably was more of a downfall for the empire than loosing the death star

@@jh-ij4by he is probably taking of Han Solo's book that came out as part of the "journey to the force awakens" project. There was a clone officer that tried to capture Han and Chewie. And a short story in "From a certain point of view" says that one of the stormtroopers who asked Obi Wan and Luke about the droids ("these are not the droids you are looking for") was a veteran clone. Also, Vader's sargent in Tarkin's book was an old clone, Sargeant Crest

@@granalmirantethrawn2972 very interesting thank you do you think kylo's story is similar to Crosshair, endoctrined, a bit lost, searching for family, someone who would loves him, but i hope he doesn't dies i fear it may be the case, as for Rampart i hope not too he's my new favourite star wars character, i would like they give him a backstory as they did for Hux, how and why he joined the empire and why has a beef with clones if it has a reason. I love his dynamic with Crosshair they make a great imperial duo i don't want it to end like Kylo and Hux's death.

Almost over 7 years that i know tarkin and I still hate his superior attitude, that is good villan Tarkin deserved to be a much more important villain in the saga, he is perfect for that

Let's just be honest here, Tarkin was about as smart as a bag of rocks when it came to anything other than battle tactics. I know Palpatine had some weird crush for him, but literally every action he took after the Empire came to power backfired. Would be interesting to see alt universe *"What if Tarkin died early?"*

I like how tarkin made it a point that clones costed more to the empire but didn’t mind spending like 10000000x their cost on a space station that blew up on its first actual battle. Maybe if they had pilots that could actually shoot they wouldn’t have lost to a handful of rebel pilots lol. Tarkin seems very short sighted tbh

@@regularguy2807 Arrogance at its finest. Director Krennic made the weapon (technically the engineers made it) but Tarkin was quick to snatch it away when it's proven to be powerful. Though like Vader said to both; "Don't choke on your aspirations" "The technological prowess of this battle station is insignificant compared to the power of the force." He was right both times.

the Empire needed to get it's citizenry directly invested into military service. The clones could very quickly appear to be an occupying force to the average citizen, and Palpatine wanted a militarized society.

@@grassfur1950 don't worry, they are probably doing the same as Scorch Gregor and the other 50 commandos mentioned, training the new imperial troopers, maybe in Daro or in another imperial facility. But with Sev...that's a real mystery

I still find it strange how one minute the clones were fine, and the next all of a sudden tarkin is questioning their ability, as if they didn’t win countless battles under his command lol. They could have just explained it better by saying the empire wanted to have their army in house, and that they didn’t want to rely on expensive kaminoan cloners, also the war was over, they didn’t need such an elite force

The Clone wars cost the Republic a lot, especially the financially. Weapons, battle ships, and cloning production. Even with the senate debating of cutting the costs as much as possible, the war was a financial disaster for the Republic. Second, stating the obvious of how the Bad Batch are at disobeying orders, Tarkin doesn't want to take the chance with other clones acting the same way. Even with Crosshair pledge his loyalty to the Empire, along with other clones it's still a big risk to the Empire to keep up with the production if they'll rebel sometime later in the run. Finally, I think Tarkin is aware that Jango Fett's DNA is degrading (therefore running low to create more clones). Since his death on Geonosis at the start of the war didn't go unnoticed, it was only a matter of time before the Kaminoians can longer produce Jango Fett clones. I believe he know of Boba Fett being the only pure genetic replication of Jango, but he was also raised by Jango as a bounty hunter and knows how to disappear and stay hidden from everyone looking for him. But that just brings me back to my second reason. Even if the Empire had Boba in their custody to create more clones, they don't want to take the chance of the Clones behaving like Clone Force 99 and eventually desert and rebel against the Empire. Though I think Tarkin sees some significance about Omega, but is completely unaware of who she really is. Is he questions about her, the Kaminoians must've made up a story that she and her family crashed landed on Kamino with her being the only survivor, and so Nala Sei took her in and made her her medical assistant.

Stormtroopers won a fight in a bottleneck hallway, entering single file. They were ordered to keep the rebels alive so they could track them to the rebel base, and because Palpatine wanted to recruit Luke/Leia. Stormtroopers are not incompetent. They never were.

@@Bacxaber Nah they pretty incompetent. Even in a film like Rogue One where it’s supposed to be gritty, the rebels are still able to do incredibly well in battles where they probably shouldn’t be winning.

Disney Canon ruing stormtroopers, rogue 1 is Disney Canon. As he says, strok troopers recked rebels in the ot. Even on endor the rebels loose badly to storm troopers (and then Teddy bears come in, the rebels elite commandos were still shit compaired to the storm troopers). But let's take diseny's attempts at retcons seriously for a moment.there is nothing inherently superior about clones compaired to regular humans. Give them the same training and they will preform the same. But clones are more expensive (you have to grow them yourself and all those costs) and don't last as long (accelerated ageing). If stormtroopers are bad, it's becuase their training regime is different and worse than it should be, not because they are not clones. The smart thing for the empire to do is stop cloning. It existed to prevent the clone wars turning into a Vietnam (civilians turn against the war due to poor treatment of soldiers and the enemy). But the empire doesn't care about that as much if at all, and they are now in relative peace (with only the threat of small rebellions forming). Instead they should have 3 theirs of soldiers. 1) paramilitary police level. Not ment to fight battles, only a few months of training and only basic equipment. Deployed everywhere all the time. Will uterally crush anyone without proper training but nice and cheap and expendable and also useful for indoctrination fo the population overtime if you make this a limited service time conscription force (get a large enough portion of the population to spend time in training/indoctrination to ha e a loyal support base that can also be mobilised to fight in future) 2) regular military tier, there to kill properly trained enemies giving the 1st tier a hard time. Maybe a year or 2 of training. Professional soldiers picked from the most poltocaly loyal and motivated of tier 1. Smaller number of men in mobile response units to go where they are needed. 3)elites, there to handle those that give 2 a hard time. Initially use last batches of clones but replace them with similarly trained regular humans, ideally trained during childhood in special schools so you get their entire 18+ lifespan as soldiers. Give families polticla boons for sending their kids to these facilities (and you cna use it as the ultimate punishment for polticla criminals, send their young children to be indoctrinated into the empires elite forces) And you get all the benefits of elite clones, but signficiantly cheaper and last longer. 3.5) speical forces, genetically engineered super soldiers. We know that genetic tinkering is posible in star wars, but expensive. So take advantage of that at the economically viable level.

I despise Nala Se particularly after what she did to Fives.
