Monkey Ball speed run videos are so comforting to me. I like to put these on in the background while I write/bake/cook/clean

This run has made me notice weird little inconsistencies and design choices. Like Asterisk having an arbitrarily higher spawn point than other stages for seemingly no reason. Amazing run tho, this was super fun to watch

I genuinely thought this was a tas until I saw the pause buffering. That just shows how high quality this run is

Amazing run! And it's a miracle that over 300+ stages are in Banana Mania.

What always amazed me as a kid was how this "skin" changes on some levels depending of the stage made them feel different

Im not entirely sure but it could very well be that 500mph isn't even possible for a baby monkey in a (i assume plastic) ball given the laws surrounding terminal velocity.

This was like two years ago. Regardless, that was an amazing run

Yeah, when I was about 7-9 y.o., I got SO frustrated on that stage. But I honestly like Helix better since there is a Green Goal that would warp you to the very last stage.

I just managed to beat expert mode today using 2 continues. You have my respect. I will soon be able to beat expert without using any, and then ill finally be able to challenge master mode its extras and then ultimate. Congrats on being a gaming god. I shall soon get closer towards such a title.

This video is one day away from hitting its two year anniversary!

Seeing a run like this makes me wonder if sub-hour is possible. A TAS of Ultimate to show the fastest possible way to beat the mode (estimate 45 mins or so) would show how much more there could be.

A TAS would likely be under an hour, but the lowest I could theoretically see a human pushing this would be somewhere around 1:05 or 1:04 probably.

Did they change the backgrounds and textures of some levels in SMB1? Haven't seen the orange textured in a city while monkeys Dance in a diner

1:08:32 Personally, I like going to the Blue Goal on Synchronized so that on Helix, I can go to the Green Goal which would warp me to the very last stage.

Hey! I'm right now watching your speedrun world record. Well done on it. I'm thinking of starting to speedrun the Beginner category and I would like to ask you a question. When playing Ultimate, which game's levels do you find the hardest, SMB1, SMB2 or Deluxe? I personally find SMB2 levels overall harder :D

I find the SMB1 stages to be the hardest, especially at the beginning of expert and in master.

All Beginner - Easy SMB1 Advance - Pretty tame SMB2 Advance - Arthropod SMB1 Adv. Extra - Easy except Ex. 5 SMB2 Adv. Extra - Mostly Domes, but kinda hard. SMBDX Adv. Extra - I hate Chaos SMB1 Expert - Expert 7 and late Expert are really hard. SMB2 Expert - World 8 is the hardest, also Switch Inferno sucks. Mostly tame. Get Detour green goal. SMB1 Ex. Extra - A few levels are ridiculous, but nothing insane except Expert 9. SMB2 Ex. Extra - NOW it gets difficult. SMB1 Master - Literally only for true masters. SMB2 Master and M. Ex. - Really difficult, but not ridiculous.

he tried to do the strat for the level but failed it. i guess it's faster to do the normal strat than to fail and try again.

I already told you this on your smb 1 no warp run that you posted today, but. On curvature i discovered that you can skip strait to the goal platform from the 3rd to last turn. (Just making that statement clearer with deluxe)

I can tell by watching that these monkeys don't suck their thumbs, they don't show signs of being afraid or depressed and they are always playing and eating well. The question is, and I think the point needed to come across, is how do they train the monkey in order to get him to do this? Keep him hungry? Beat him? That is what a lot of people assume when they see a trained monkey because in the old school times when people trained monkeys and animals for the fair, carnival and circus they would starve and beat them into submission most of the time. I don't see signs of that being done with these monkeys and trust me it would be very visible and noticeable. Also, a question to ask is how does it seem the monkeys feel about being dressed and doing all these tricks or activities if you will? Are they uncomfortable or do they seem okay and happy? I don't know because I am not the monkey or living in their consciousness but a good way to tell is pay attention to the behavior of the monkey and notice does he or she look stressed or show fear like when they "smile" but it's actually a fear grimace not a smile and sucking their thumb is a sign of trauma or clinging to themselves and putting their head between their legs and flinching constantly or hiding...I don't see that with this monkey but not to say they could be pausing or editing any behavior like that. I don't like the monkey being dressed or constricted in clothes but hey I don't like clothes myself and think we should all still be naked so whatever. I'm not saying it's right to force a monkey to wear clothes and do other tricks because although, they are primates like us non -human, it's not exactly sensible, other than for the monkey looking cute or more human, to put clothes on one. I literally saw someone dress their monkey the other day and then go dangle it from a tree. Now why would someone do that? Monkeys have fur for a reason not clothes because their clothes would get hung on branches in trees and cause them to fall or get stuck so definitely please don't dress your monkey then put it in a tree or let it try to go climb a tree. I guess it's a matter of preference and opinion if owning a pet monkey is right or wrong but as long as it's not illegal in your state or place you reside then that is your choice and right. However, it would be great if whoever decides to get a pet monkey would treat it nice and fair and with love and kindness and not dress it and make it do tricks but we all know that's not the case with most. I have two monkeys I rescued from a breeder. They both clung to me and my daughter for 6 months solid. Rarely let go. They eat great and healthy and play with each other and us in the grass and trees and have a very good life. We do not put clothes on them for any reason and only put diapers when they are indoors. However, we constantly keep their diapers changed and clean if they are indoors for the night or I should say when they are indoors for the night. We have never posted any kind of video and never will. We don't care for them for monetary gain or to be seen and noticed but because non human primates are our favorite animal and one that has a special interest to my daughter and me. We have been working on the last 5 months starting our own private safe haven and sanctuary and we want to go to these other countries where these abuse videos are happening and offer large amounts of money to the people for their monkeys and to not post anymore videos with animals abusing them and this would be under contract to receive the payout. We then want to take monkeys back to our sanctuary and begin the long process of healing and nurturing and rehabilitating. It seems like a long shot but if money is what these people are after then I can't sleep good at night knowing I could take a plane, go to the country, give my money away, save the monkey from this day in and out torture they are going through and give them a shot at feeling love, care, nourishment for their bodies, rest and some peace where for once in their pitiful daily lives they won't feel scared or worried what will happen next or will they get to eat today or tomorrow or a week from now? I would send those people straight to jail myself if I believed it would help but jail or being chastised by authorities will not cure sadism and that is what this basically narrows down to. How cruel can humanity get before we ever make a change? We are so socially and consciously behind that it's embarrassing to a point that other civilizations from other planets literally call us " the planet of children". I know children who wouldn't behave in this manner though, starting with my own. My daughter is going to begin college to study and become a vet when she graduates high school and she has always been an animal lover, she won't even kill a spider.🕸🤗 She is so upset over this monkey abuse situation that she is the one who had this idea to go there to these other countries and get these monkeys. Their little bones were pertruding from their skin and their eyes were bulging from their eye sockets. It was so disheartening and sickening I literally was sobbing when that video ended. They were so weak and skinny they would wobble side to side when they walked because their heads were weighing their tiny framed bodies down from not eating for so long, or eating so little it didn't make a difference. Just being fed enough to keep them alive one more day to continue abusing and filming. I would send those people straight to jail myself if I believed it would help but jail or being chastised by authorities will not cure sadism and that is what this basically narrows down to. How cruel can humanity get before we ever make a change? We are so socially and consciously behind that it's embarrassing to a point that other civilizations from other planets literally call us " the planet of children". I know children who wouldn't behave in this manner though, starting with my own.
