This must be the hardest test I have seen for the crawling abilities on the E1 yet, very awesome! I have metal tracks on the way, can hardly wait to try them out 😁

definitely needed if you expect to tackle terrain with the E1. Puts weight down low and has good traction in my experience so far.

Thanks for sharing! I've got an E1 on order from Banggood as at the time WPL had sold out on their site. However, I've got the metal track upgrade on the way (and a B36.. OOPS! :D). I reckon all three should arrive across the pond in the UK at a similar time :). Interesting to note that WPL are offering limited packs of the V1 drive sprockets along with the V2 ones. Eh? Yes the metal track upgrades now come with a V2 drive "sprocket" - instead of the two halves having teeth, there are now metal pins running between them all around the circumference which grab the track teeth. This is an answer to the problem which can arise of dirt in the track holes forcing the sprocket teeth out of position and damaging the drivetrain.

nice! rubber tracks can stretch a little to pop loose, might be solved weaving 6lb fishing line through like a long figure 8 stitch down both sides of each. it doesn't seem to lack torque at all with dual 130 worm gear drives, but more could be had slapping in a pair of neutral brush timed 180's easily enough (same RPM both directions) for 5-6 bucks.

Fantastic!! Really looking forward to the progress on this vehicle!! I am eager to pick one up, but I would like to see a 2-speed or a larger motor upgrade, or both. Nothing insane, nothing to bash, but similar to the boosts in performances of the other KM kits. This is a fantastic vehicle, and I'm definitely going to need to add and rc smoker to it somewhere... Great vids, as always, thanks, and, keep up the great work!!

I also would like to see more upgrades for this. Unfortunately other than some talented tinkerers doing mods on this I haven't heard much more about any upgrades for this. I do hope to see more metal upgrades like the gearbox would be nice.

@@RunThatRC I recently bought an aftermarket metal 2 stage gearbox. Not bad, and affordable, all things considered. I'd love to see some lcg links and alternate bodies come out. I really think WPL should do another style of axle too, to diversify their lineup. Love them though, and getting a bunch lolz

It's a nice upgrade but this isn't the only problem that needs fixing. It would also be great to get the suspension working more effectively.

yes the suspension is stiff. Maybe with the metal tracks I can try and remove some or all of the springs and see if that works and doesn't derail.

I have only ran it about 20 times but I will assume the metal tracks will eventually eat at the plastic wheels and need replacing once they start skipping (kinda like bike chain and gears need replacing) that's going to be a need for this at some point. How much time before it needs it I cant tell yet because mine still look good.

Getting high centered seems like the biggest issue now. Too bad it wasn't a bit higher.

definitely would have been nice to get a little more ground clearance fore sure. It's still not bad with metal tracks it gets around pretty well.

@@RunThatRC Have you ever used the sg 1203? Seems that one has lots of clearance but maybe not the slow speed control.

Have troubel with small rocks blocked the drivetrain.

I bought one of these but the metal tracks don't ship to my country so i have to live with rubber tracks for now
