I agree with you about the hero talents and classes just kind of feeling the same. It takes the uniqueness out of the classes and the games. I was honestly a little disappointed in TBC when they allowed horde to have Pallies and alliance to have Shamans. Even now with every race being able to be every class, almost....is just a meh. They can spin it however they want, imo. But I understand the majority of people like them and enjoy them, even though I don't play, I just see it and it doesn't make me want to go back and play, unfortunately.

You're take on them gaslighting pvp was too true. I think pvp game play is in amazing state. The meta is very diverse imo. It's sad to think that all they need to do was inject mmr. I can't imagine that would take much development time
