My uncle who was is now a retired chef use to make nopal smoothies when I was a kid and he would add the cactus and banana and I don't remember what else but it was sooo good. 🇲🇽😍 But I never liked the cooked. They had to be in a smoothie or raw in a bowl with lemon salt and chili 🤣😋

Los nopales nosedeben de comer asi por que si no estan tiernitos la cascara se puede pegar al intestino y es peligroso debe de estar muy tiernito y gual a cocinarlo ellas nolodaben es solo por aser el.video

I don't know what they were thinking but I can confirm that as a fellow Cambodian I have never seen Cambodian eating cactus it's not in our menu RN because of tiktok some cambodian start to eat cactus because it's a trend. One girl even die because of eating the cactus.

Nopales yo pensé que no los conocían en México los comemos en carne con chile ,en ensaladas asados, con huevo , ala mexicana etc. Riquísimo

I have never known to eat it raw. Nopales cooked yes! With eggs or make a pico de Gallo even with carne Asada but raw 🤔 I don’t think I can eat it that way. Are you going to try it?

@@denicecastillo8984 That cactus is known in the EEUU as nopal de castilla. And nopal de castilla does not have stickers. Ranchers feed raw cactus to cows.

Son nopales! Si los comemos crudos pero saben mejor cocinados. Hervir en agua un poco de sal, ajo, cebolla y el jugo de un limón para quitar la baba y saben riquísimos!!! 🥰

I would like to say this prickly pear cactus is healthier and safer than san Pedro. 👍 They can also be breaded and fried its good with a dip. Wash then dip in flour then in egg then fry. Ranch dip is good with this. Before I touch it I flame off the stickers with a torch. The younger parts have no stickers yet and are healthy.
