You know who else lives in Northern California? I do! I was a lifelong Republican until 2016! Voted for Reagan is my first presidential vote ever! David, I’m listening to this a year after you did this interview, and I want to say that you do an excellent job of interviewing people! This lady is so wishy washy, and has no evidence of anything she says or tweets 🤦🏻‍♀️. Just checked, and thank goodness she lost the March 5, 2024 primary to represent CA for the US House. She lost in 2020 and now in 2024 so let’s hope she gets the message.

I am a California resident. In 2016 my husband and I received voting information. He died in May before the June primary election. When I voted I could tell that his name had been removed because our names had been on the voter roll for our precinct next to each other. At first it was painful to note, but after I voted and was walking home, I had time to process it and realized I was quite pleased that the county registrar had corrected the voter rolls so promptly.

David , your series of interviews of Republicans running for election has been excellent. It has been both illuminating and frightening to listen to these people. You're very good at nailing the candidates down and making them provide evidence of their claims...of which they have none of course. More like this! Love it.

Well if I were a voter I would have wanted to hear about her agenda and not only talk about the past election. This was actually a very bad interview if it should have introduced her to the voters. Not one single question what she will change if she gets elected. It was all about the past and nothing about the future.

My neighbors and family members go in circles as she does. Favorite directions: " Look at both sides." "Do some research." "Trump did so much for this country." After 20 minutes, my mind is on the verge of explosion.

When they "do the research" really means watch as many videos spreading lies with zero facts or manipulation of events that favor Trump and only Trump. Until you believe Trump won without facts or evidence. It's pointless talking to people who don't listen to facts. When they go by feelings, they are just butt hurt.

Not a clue how you have the patience to try to have any type of dialogue with these people. It took all the patience in my body not to throw my phone against the wall.

I’m old too, and have my political opinions, and I can say this little, old lady is nuts! I want to know how old she is. I can’t find it anywhere! She needs to stay home and bake cookies. BTW, all of the pictures of her on any political sites look like she was at least 20 years younger! Thanks David, for trying to bring her back to reality. If people like her get elected, then this country is totally screwed!

Pictures looking 20 years is something a lot of politicians do thinking they will attract more voters, in her case it may have been when she had a more sane way of thinking.

That's because they cheated to get bonespurs the win. Hillary won the popular vote but Trump ended up winning the electoral college? Something shady happened for sure. We just chose not to cause the mess if crying fraud, just to keep the country moving forward. We suffered through 4 years of that horrible disgusting blob of shit and in 2020 we said no more. Trump knew he was going to lose. That why he said if I lose it fraudulent, before the first vote was cast. These people are lost in the sauce. Get them all straight jackets and rubber rooms!

Trump actually started it in 2012 with Romney's election. Then moved on to millions of illegals voted in California in 2016.

If you watched Fox News, then there was, at least, momentary suspicion about every election they lost. They get really confident that their various election manipulation schemes are going to deliver a win, and when it doesn't, it just breaks their whole reality. This is, by far, though, the most severe refusal to accept reality in American history. Psychologists, anthropologists, and historians will spend the rest of the lifetime of our civilization trying to figure out how this shared delusion reached such magnitude.

You got her on everything she’s trying to say

I used to be a centrist who thought America's greatest need was for each side to listen to the other. Post January 6th, I have since believed that Republicans should be blatantly ignored and steamrolled over politically. They don't understand basic logic, burden of proof, what constitutes evidence. They're embarrassments to our country in every way imaginable.

I'm an old lady too 66 but there is no way this lady stands a snowballs chance in hell against Eric Swalwell. She obviously doesn't need to be in politics at all. She might mean well, but is sorely unaware that everything she hears us not true. David did a good job on this. He was gentle with her yet firm. Good job!

I don't think she means well at all. She wasn't honest with her answers and says she tweets things to inform but is tweeting misinformation - that is not being honest or truthful. She talks about not know what the people who where involved with Jan 6th riots intentions were but knows there were infiltrators riling up the crowd who where not Trump supporters. She is completely disingenuous.

To me she actually seems to sincerely believe she is doing the right thing for democracy and identified voting as the key issue. Unfortunately, she concluded that the bad guys are the regular clerks, democrats and FBI and who knows who, rather than the guys who actually did try to hijack the system. And that is truly scary.

She doesn't mean well. I can assure you of that. If she truly cared she'd be doing everything in her power to provide evidence that supports her claims. She's a MAGA devotee with an axe to grind, just like the rest of them. These people are dangerous and they will be the downfall of our democracy if we don't stop them from taking a foothold in our institutions. They could completely dismantle this country within a few years' time.

I feel like every time you mentioned her Twitter and opposing beliefs she had about dead people in the election she just cringed and felt "hey maybe ccoming on your show is a bad idea"" I love it!!!

Funny thing....this concern about election integrity on the right never seemed to be a concern before 2020. Don't ever remember hearing about it in 2016, for example.

That was painful. She is so concerned about Americans feeling confident about our elections and coming together while she puts out claims that that have no evidence behind them. She is actually doing the very opposite by rilling up those that don't care about facts. It appears that a lot of those people just want to create more division through violence.

Agreed! And her party is responsible for real voter suppression in the forms of gerrymandering, voter intimidation, removing voting stations, and getting rid of ballot voting. Her party is the real culprit in ruining democracy.
