Some of the greatest inventors in the world like Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, The Write Brothers etc have helped change the world one way or the other, and we think we have found our own Nigerian scientific savior.
BattaBox presenter Odunayo meets and discusses with Nigeria's youngest inventor Timilehin Daomi who has created a Vacuum cleaner, a Water Fountain,a Pumping Machine among many other things using scrap materials like pipes, bottles cups etc.
"Before doing anything, i draw the plan," says Timilehin
Odunayo spoke to his father who Barrister Daomi about his son's creativity and how he discovered he had a scientist within his home.
"I wanted my children to be lawyers," says Timilehin's father "I discovered he started spoiling things," he continues
Timilehin further shows Odunayo how his inventions work, and what he used to make them.
"This is interesting, i'm really amazed," Odunayo exclaims as Timilehin shows her all the things he's built
We believe Timilehin is a star waiting to shine.
Watch and enjoy!

If a black person ties their own shoes, we get all excited and want to do a documentary about it. What does that say about us? In America, the "feel good" stories are about a black man who didn't abandon his children. It's a shame that it is an accomplishment worthy of praise.
woow, this boy has a God given talent that the world need to see, this is why African parents need to allow their children to be what they want to be rather than forcing them into something that is not their calling. This boy will one day change Nigeria with his talent. Just imagine what he can actually build in the future. Thank u Batta Box for showcasing this young talent to the world. Great job Odun, you are very good at what you do keep it up. 😊😊😊

This boy who invents things, really fascinates me so much !! I pray that he does something wonderful with this gift that God gave him. He reminds me of how my son was as a boy. I sent the video to my son to see it too.
so impressive! Nigeria needs to encourage and push more inventors!
All he needs is a school of technology (properly equipped facility), to harness his inventions.

I am so impressed by this young man and am certain he will go on and achieve many things in his life. It was wonderful to see him smile as he demonstrated his inventions and explained how they work. He is an all round achiever with a creative mind, he plans, he puts his plan into action using the simplest of materials and he has accomplished things that seem unachievable. Parents are often convinced that academic ability is the only way forward in life - Yes this is the case for some but not all. Where would we be if there were only thinkers and no do- ers.The Architect needs the labour of the Mason or there could be no building. Well done to this young inventor, his brilliance makes him truely a STAR - I understand why his father appears proud. I feel I have seen a glimpse into the future.

POVO DO INTELECTO AQUI LEK
European school system made the African child grow up and walk on his head instead of using the legs. In order for oyinbo to be where we've allowed him to be, he first studied us and found a way how to transport us from our natural element, and to work against our natural self and walk backward instead of forward. For those who are good in walking on the head and move backward, they're rewarded with certificates and diplomas.
Can I get this guy contact

@1234vedas

"smartest" mind is not associated with any race or ethnicity. because intelligence is not gebetic,its mostky acquired and what goes into sharpening it is the culture of upbringing,and tje social factors ,and education system. evry child is gifted on one way or other.No doubt,this kid is a genius.

What's this with creative minds getting half way and expecting some magical support from anywhere That Won't try to use them for personal gains. It's better to present your plate to take food than have someone pick it you and risk them shortening your ration.
THIS passes as "amazing"?? Seems like a bright kid but.... The magnifier was interesting (hardly a microscope, but a low powered magnifying "glass"). All the rest was something the average 5 yr. old might toss together.

hey @sebanoe do you think we should replace it with?
@Sebanoe
8 жыл бұрын
I'm not talking about doing away with it completely but other avenue's for intellectual pursuits should be explored, for example if there was a practical aspect to his classes and not just theoretical regurgitation, perhaps the school would have picked up on his ability or inclination towards constructing and deconstructing devices. To be honest if not for the support of his father his talent might have being lost. This issue is not just a naija issue even western countries have the same issues with their education system.
