Update: Azshara never had any loyalties for N’zoth. She was planning to free him to kill him. The heroes only interfered and her plans failed, but he was freed and she was dragged into Ny’alotha to be tormented for that and N’zoth’s minions were planning to transform Azshara into a mindless minion but the heroes saved her and she gave them the blade of the black empire to permanently kill him. Afterwards she said she’s done working with dark forces and left in order to find “the true throne of power”

The use of Arcane magic by the likes of Jaina is partly due to the events of the Troll Wars where 100 humans were taught Arcane magic by the High Elves and they used their newfound power to decimate the Troll forces that were outside Alterac fortress.

Azshara actually believed she could be Sargeras' consort.

The reason Teldrassil was corrupted is because Xavius just before the Sundering was turned into a tree by Malfurion, and when the Well imploded he sank down with it, but later on he somehow re-surfaced and a branch from his tree was planted in the soil atop Teldrassil. I think it was Xavius posing as Fandral's son that made him plant the branch if I remember correctly.

What's funny is that Tolkien himself created over dozens of elven clans, far more than what WoW offers. Dem floppy-eared fucks sure can multiply like bunnies. :D

good video :) but i think you missed an elven evolution, the some of the Nightborn did transform in some form of Spider elfs ^^

Yeah, that was due to an Arcandore exploding and the vast amounts of arcane and nature energies transformed them.

The Third War was the second invasion of the Burning Legion. The events of Legion is the third invasion. And the first was the War of the Ancients back before the Sundering.

They're not an elven subrace, they're profession, a class, rituals are involved that change you, but they're not a species, so for this video we didn't include them.

This equvifies my 40+years of Hermetic Knowledge commixed with the other stuff I have researched.This makes this game so much easier and more enjoyable!

I think it might be a concept made by one of the original artists, looks kind of like Alex Horley's work.

Am I the only one who thinks you guys overlooked one variant of the Elves that became its own race. Of course, I’m referring to the Worgen.

From what we understood, the Worgen came about because of Druidic practices. (So the first ones were elves, but the current Worgen, like in the games, are all baseline human, and since the video was already long we didn't want to muddy the issue.)

@@TrueMastersandMorons It is true it was Druidic practices, they tapped into an unstable form known as the pack form which gave them the bloodlust and ferocity of Goldrinn, however it also made it hard for them to determine friend from foe. The Worgen were created due to the combination of the Staff of Elune and a Fang of Goldrinn to make the Scythe of Elune. The hope was the scythe could pacify the bloodlust of the pack form, but it instead turned them into what we know as Worgen. Malfurion eventually banished them to the Emerald Dream and had them put into a deep sleep under a special tree in the Dream to keep them at bay. And then lots of other stuff happened later on till the eventual events that happened in Gilneas that led to Human Worgen.
