Glad the puppy didn't test his teeth on this one Dan. A great hunt. I got my Kew in change at a petrol station. I saw it leaving the till and I was hoping that the cashier wasn't a collector and spotted it. If they had and I didn't end up with it in my change I don't know what I would have done..... It was a traumatic few seconds. ATB buddy.

I found a Kew in my change and kept it, even before I had any idea of it's scarcity that was in 2010. Never found an alphabet 10p or any commonwealth £2 coins, but I always try and pay cash on most items, One day I might find those elusive coins.

Amazing stuff 3 Olympics, Duck(careful) and Bunny but still my favourite 50p has to be the Sir Isaac Newton

ive had 2 Kew Gardens in my change from tesco ,,, one one week and the other the next ,,,but it was before i knew what they were and i was just putting aside picture coins ... that was years ago ,,, before i started collecting seriously

That post office is not very far from where I live, a few miles at most. Exceptional hunt with some amazing star finds! Newton is my favourite. Only had 1 Kew find to date, which my daughter found in a hunt we were doing together, and that was way back in 2020 (Christmas Eve to be exact!). 😁

I found a Kew back in 2011/12 time before it was know to be a keeper, I thought I like this I will keep it and put it in my coat pocket in bedroom, a few weeks later my sister called with some things for me and I had to give it to her as I had not enough change to pay her, wow was I gutted when it became know it was quite rare, never expected to find another, but low and behold 6th January 2023 , I had a busy day and went to see my other sister with her partner as she was in hospital, after left his house, tired , decided I was hungry, called at Tesco express got some sweets, a 50p in my change, just a common one, walked to chippy next door and was in queue waiting to order, my turn ordered some food and passed a note over to pay, lady handed me my change and as I held my hand out I saw a Kew t receive it I saw the Kew in her hand , honestly I was taken aback, I was gobsmacked, could hardly contain my excitement, put change in my pocket and went back to my car and then took change out to check if it was real or it, I was tired but I was over the moon, and couldn’t wait to get a photo onto my Facebook feed, 😊

Approx 9 years and 45 weeks to go before Kew makes an appearance

and for to tell you the year of the kew it was a 2009

Phew.... I know what I've done, written 2cap on my note paper and wedged it in the camera boom and in the heat of the hunt didn't catch my scribbles. I forget myself sometimes hahaha

When you say if you swear you’ll put some money in the swear pig will it bee the coin you were swearing about, such as Jemima Puddleduck 🤔? Cus that could get really expensive 😂 I like to eat chocolate 🍫 too but also again only occasionally. I’ve never found a Kew in a hunt or even in my change but I did win one last May in a Facebook group (at the time we met at the Royal Mint, I’d missed the delivery on the Saturday being in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and had to collect it from the Delivery office on the Monday 😊 Appreciate the Shoutout mate Great stuff Master D Temple 👍🏻

kew gardens was the first i found, it got me into collecting, found in my change and i really liked the japanese style tower. unfortunately my mum took it and spent it along with others i had collected up to that point.
