They are both nice sets but the coins are only worth what someone is willing to pay for on the day & maybe higher if they are desperate to get the sets! Take care

I'm lucky to have both sets complete. The 2019 set, as I've mentioned many times before, I bought in 2020 (before the mintage figures were announced) in full from the RM at a price of £39. (It was priced at £52, but I had a 25% discount code). Works out at £1.50 per coin!! 😁

Yeah I got several sets when they came out. Some trades, some face value from the royal mint tills ect ... They are bonkers now mate

I was lucky to get the 2 sets from Westminster when they came out 😊

I've never found one in change but I did get my sets of both years through coin swaps at the Mint Dan .

It's strange but my brother found a V in his change the other day Jude. Crazy stuff haha

I wish i had the 2019 set but ive only 2018 paid 70 odd quid for it about 18 month ago

On the coin groups you can get the 2018 full set for £65-70 and 2019 for £145

Facebook is full of coin groups that trade and sell coins

I have the first strikes of both times 4 including the silver proofs and carded

If the expectation was that they would circulate and they just didn't because people found them & hoarded them,then maybe the mint didn't see the point in minting any more It's maybe why the later letters in the 2019 set are even scarcer than the earliest letters

No I don't think that's the case, most of the coins will have been minted to an order from the treasury. Collectors do keep coins for sure and even if it's bags of them it still is only a microscopical amount in the bigger scale of things. Happy days

As somebody who lives in Gateshead (where the Angel of the North is, not in Newcastle as so many people think), I have no idea why it should remind you of Bungle and Lady M who hail from the Boro (about 45 miles away) and in a completely different area (Teeside as opposed to Tyneside). Tut tut Dan 😅

Haha well I think I mentioned it in the video that Lady M painted me a picture of the Angel of the North a few years back .... This is why the statue and the coin will always remind me of them. Happy days buddy

I've dabbled in the 10p Alphabets and so far after many hunts l have only three .....2018......F,H,Q ..but will persist 😂

I think you priced the 18 set on the high side and 19 set on the low side, however, it really matters not, each letter is insanely limited, no wonder why the mint will not repeat this ever again, I imagine the 18 set was meant to be a taster for collectors & lowly minted, the 19 set was going to be highly minted until the treasury stepped in & told them to stop minting around April time in 2019
