Its a prayer song,letterally speaking to our Creator and Savior Jesus Christ.So touching....

One if the most beautiful and honest Christian songs ever written sung by one of the best voices ever. These are all questions we all have. It is humbling and inspiring. Morrisette is a gift.

Morissette became a Christian 2 1/2 years ago. She's included a few Christian songs in her repetoire and it seems when she praises God, with her singing, there's something more, not really intentional but spiritual, she gives in those songs. She's not afraid to tell people she thanks God for all she has. This is truly a beautiful testimony from her to her love of God. Thank you for reacting. Not many seem to be doing that to this song. This is, by far, one of the most beautiful songs ever written done by one of the most beautiful singers on this planet. (Her tears were very real as professed by those who were actually there during this performance. They all cried several times)

Could You Be Messiah is part of an original Filipino Christian musical entitled First Name, staged some 30 years ago in Manila. the musical's book and lyrics was written by Freddie Santos who passed away last December. this video is part of a tribute to Freddie- a reimagination of the songs from First Name- and streamed last February, in time for his birthday.

This was a Christian song done in the format of a personal prayer to Jesus from a suffering non-Christian girl. Someone confused, uncertain, needing guidance, and in pain and suffering. It is someone who is not a Christian who is trying to find out about it. She sang that she heard others talking about this religion, and asked Jesus, "are you all that they say you are" - are you real? Can you help me? If so, would you be MY Messiah (savior), and set my spirit free.

This reminded me of some intimate songs in Jesus Christ Superstar.. but in a very personal way. This song is something we all have in our hearts and those of us like me for instanse who are suffering and lonely she sang my plight I feel alone in that room i cry out to Jeuss everyday ughhhhhhhhhhh i sobbed more deely than i ever have .
