That is the perfect definition for it. A perfect Circles "Orestes, Vanishing, and The Noose" all move me in that wheel house of like, utter hopelessness, but beautiful composition.

​@berniebarroso7798 The Noose and Sleep Token's Atlantic hit me like nothing else. There are plenty of other APC and Sleep Token songs that give me the feels, but those two stand out above everything else.

When the drums come in. The drum part actually conveys so much emotion to me. II is so good. The lyrics. Vessel is a genius.

Somehow this is like THE most underrated ST song, it's in my top 3

I love how there are several of Sleep Token's songs that "sound" as if they're a love song, but when you listen to the lyrics you realize that is not what's going on here

Distraction feels devastating, too. “I can tell I'm falling further again..” falling into depression or well for me addiction. Just a horrible feeling. And also towards the end that scream “it's too late for me”....it's just a lot! But something that I can realte to. Sleep Token...”trauma bonding” with each time you listen. Another great reaction.

Knowing you're falling again and trying to bond with people you shouldn't be having a relationship with just to distract yourself and avoid doing irreversible things... been there, done that. The ability Vessel have to put those experiences into lyrics is something I haven't found anywhere else.

While I don't think these songs are in chronological order, the albums are set up as Sundowning being the toxic relationship and breakup, denial and bargaining, Tomb is the desperation to keep the relationship, denial and depression, and Eden is anger and acceptance. The 5 stages we all bounce between during the process of grieving.

Y’all I’m begging for you to listen to “Is It Really You?” By Sleep Token and Loathe. I cannot WAIT for y’all to listen to this song. Please I’m begging

Wanting & needing someone you cannot have is the worst kind of psychological pain & torture 🥺 THIS is why I connect with the music of Sleep Token 😌 They’re like a balm for my shattered heart & soul 🥲

In a medical sense, to “distract” or create “distraction” is to create distance between two points. An interesting spin on that, since Vessel likes scientific terms

My favorite part of this album is coming. Descending, Telomeres, High Water, and Missing Limbs. Tomb is my favorite album. The theme is woven consistently throughout.

So the theory is that each album in this set corresponds to an element. Eden was Earth - Tomb is Water - Sundowning is Air, and speculation is that the next album is Nothing Lasts Forever and that will be Fire. Don't know how true it is, but interesting to think about.

I thought TMBTE was the final album because it’s a trilogy?? A 4th album would be amazing and I’m here for it, but this is also the first I’ve heard of it so I don’t want to get my hopes up it’s it’s not true 😅🥹

Ehhh maybe, but I think it's quite a stretch. Plenty of references to water on Sundowning (the visualizer for Drag Me Under particularly) and any reference to earth is pretty much just to Eden on TMBTE. Plus, it's a concept that's been done plenty already (Mastodon and Thrice come to mind immediately) and I can't really see Vessel going for a theme that's been done so frequently.

Atlantic and Ascensionism always make me cry, but this one gets me every time too 😢😢😢 Vessel’s voice is just pure emotion…I will never understand how he can sound SOOOOO amazing while feeling that much! It’s like his voice gets better when he’s upset. Hell, I can hardly talk when I cry! Vessel’s song writing and voice are just unreal Worship 🖤🖤🖤🖤

I can’t recall how many times I’ve listened to this album, but the next 4 songs are all beautifully written and convey so much emotion, so get the tissues ready friends.

I've been waiting so anxiously for y'all to get to this back half of the album, I'm especially excited for y'all to react to Telomeres, High Water and Missing Limbs (ESPECIALLY Missing Limbs). Also it's so interesting how new fans like me and you both consider Tomb as being on par with Take Me Back To Eden when a lot of long-time fans view Take Me Back To Eden as Sleep Token returning to the genius that was Sundowning. It has been my understanding that Tomb was a bit of a divisive album for long-time Sleep Token fans.

I’ve seen a lot of people put this song in a D tier list and it makes me sad. I love this song so much. Grab tissue for the last few songs 😮‍💨 also, when you listen to decending, pay attention to the voices he uses. I believe Vessel and sleep are singing to each other.

My crying song, gorgeous song.

This song hit me hard when I REALLY listened to it. My wife has PTSD and it made me think back to when she was really suffering and how she would constantly look for distractions so she wouldn’t have to confront her thoughts. This album starts out like a captivating ocean shore drawing you in, and by this point in the album it really does feel like you are being consumed by the water, fighting back hopelessly and ultimately know that the waves will drag you under in due time.

This song genuinely makes me think it's about addiction, whether on Vessel's part or someone he loved. The absolute inability to stop trying. The lack of resolve and feeling of helplessness in this song without it being deliberately spoken. The desperation in this song is just maddening. It feels like a drug in its own right.

Several songs give me that vibe also.

That one part just brought out such emotion. I was so immersed that I started crying and didn't realize it. This is so hauntingly beautiful and sad. But I loved the experience. Music is meant to move and be powerful and Sleep Token nails it. "Living Poetry" is definitely a perfect way to word this. I need to listen to this whole album.

"It's too late for me now, I am altered" is the lyric you are looking for from Alkaline. I noticed the connection too upon listening to this song, plus they are next to each other on the album so it's definitely a reoccurring motive in the lyrics here. One of the most heartbreaking songs on the album for me personally. And I'd say I also prefer TPWBYT over Sundowning, though the latter is still a fantastic album.

I love how you said this album has a certain sound to it. To me personally, with the distortion and layering and echoing it almost feels like you’re underwater for the entirety of this album. Descending is personally one of my favorites along with High Water so I can’t wait for you guys to get to them! I love how everyone is so excited for the end of this album. I’m excited for descending because it’s just sick. And telomeres is the prettiest song on the album. Tomb is such a dark album but even in the darkness the lush landscape they create is so enchanting.

Man, I know a lot of their songs could be interpreted in many different ways, but this one I've always taken as a living life without the person you love could be a relationship, etc. The "I am broken into fractions" just hits so hard for some reason. I love watching you guys react to music. The two of you remind me of my sister and I and how you guys really feel and appreciate everything about the music, lyrics, everything!

I know this is a crazy amount of work that I'm about to suggest, but I think a really cool video idea once you've gone through all of sleep tokens discography would be a sort of recap? Where y'all re-listen to everything in order (obviously that doesn't have to be on camera bc it would be hours long) and kind of absorb it all at once and give a 'final thoughts' kind of review!

Something I thought of when listening to you guys break everything down at the end that aligns with the thought of being present during Sleep Token songs…. Some music you listen to, and some music you connect with… For me, Sleep Token has always been a band that finds a way to create that type of connection with each song, new and old. Personal opinion… this is the best song on this album. Lyrically it’s a masterpiece and the rhythm and vocals are outrageously beautiful.
