@ElliethTull Yeah we actually had that problem initially with 6 dps. We burned him too fast and got him to his final phase before we'd dealt with the adds and wiped.

It's good to know that they buffed this, I watched the Paragon video and it seemed way too easy. Ofc with their skills anything would seem easy, but no one was even dropping like past 95% health before the soft enrage of P2. Good video and comforting to see that Bliz might actually make the run-through things harder for release.

@xtcfucker You can't chain steal it, it's not up enough. The buff only lasts about 8 seconds anyway.

@Bloodersan This is the process of learning an encounter, and in my opinion probably the funnest part of raiding. Where things slowly click together and each member learns where they need to be and what to look out for. This is why there is 'nerd screams' on kill vids. Nobody makes a peep when you have the boss on farm and are just going through the motions.

Any knowledge if Death Knights can also use Dark Simulacrum to steal that Remedy buff?

@TheQuadric Because at certain percentages the boss will change phase, e.g. at 20% he goes into his final phase (the fire on the floor etc) this allows the group to get ready for that as they know when it is coming

Hi totalbiscuit, thanks again for your amazing videos. Out of curiousity, how much dmg done/dps did your elemental shaman do? Comparing to your dmg as a mage for example. I know you dont take requests, therefor this is a suggestion that i think many people would love, so here it is, can you include a dps meter in your raid videos? Know its beta and stuff, but as a rank competing dps it would be awesome to see what dmgdone/dps you and your fellow raiders is doing :] Thanks in advance! :D

Wouldn't it be possible for a Mage to tank the Adds with the Remedy Buff spellstolen? (Obviously only if one can chain-steal the buff off the boss).

basically it looks like take out as much adds rather then to interrupt because less adds in the end means less chance of dieing by a spec amount?

@bobthechampion He's spellstealing one of the buffs the boss gets. The heal starts at a 50k tick and ramps up 25k per tick after that.

@shallwi Have you ever considered skipping 10 seconds to avoid it if it irritates you so much, rather than telling a video producer to remove his branding from his video work for your own personal gratification? I think that's a better solution, don't you?

TB i was just wondering, one of my friends was doing fire mage testing and found that he reached his highest dps by setting up all dots/debuffs etc, hitting frostfire bolt until 3 dots, then switching to fireball to crit more often, refreshing the frostfire dot when it had almost run out. i also had a guildie say that he got his max dps by just hitting frostfire bolt, because the amount of hot streak proc's meant he didnt have enough time to fireball. i was just wondering what you had worked out

@seanosanchez9999 I very much doubt that's actually the case. If you do that, you're glyphing Fireball, otherwise it doesn't have good enough crit, which means you're either going to miss out on Molten Armour glyph and lose 2% flat crit or lose glyph of pyroblast and lose 5% crit on that. Either way, it seems suboptimal to me. Last I read the EJ thread on the matter, the theory craft on either or was inconclusive.

Alright, can anyone tell me what that golden/yellow debuff is. I've looked through the comments on a few of TB's videos and even went through wowhead, but couldn't find anything. It normally wouldn't bother me but I've seen it in every raid video so I'm a curious little kitty :O

It must differ as well between the slower lvling/instance walkthrus and a wipe-a-thon I imagine. @xXxGrimeyxXx Think its the regular blizzard addon, just reduced in size.. (thats fairly easy to find in menus).. Though if you are a healer, you will appreciate the extra options for editing in Grid..

@klauspark Or u can just glyph ur healing stream to provide resistance aswell as healing.

Those large numbers on the heals are the HOT he spell steals from the boss, Remedy. Also gives mana regen.

Spell-steal-able buff that heals you a good chunk, adds that can't be tanked properly. Almost sounds to me like maybe a mage should be kiting them for a good portion. Think vanilla naxx and zombie chow. Earthbind, piercing howl, ice trap. With a mage running along throwing cone of cold between earthbinds and traps. (plus pet nova if you have a frost mage)

@momo2525252525252 Frostfirebolt w/glyph is a major dps loss over glyphed fireball. you should be casting scorch during movement both to maintain dps AND to maintain mana as spamming fireball is currently unsustainable

id have to say the best ting about cata is how they brought back having multiple raids at once. In BC you would have multiple raids to do in a week and that kept you from getting bored. You have your 2 ten mans and your 2-3 25 mans, so if you didn't feel like doing a certain aid, or you didn't have the makeup, you would do a different one. in wrath, they seemed to think having 10 and 25 man options was an excuse for getting lazy. it wast. people go bored and endgame ended far too quickly.

Alchemist bosses are somehow always the most fun, just think about Prof Putricide his hilarious voice-acting and the odd fight mechanics for a second - one of you becomes a monstrosity, you fight slimes and gas clouds and the boss mutates 2 times, not to mention the hm plague the stuff he throws around etc. . . . And this encounter looks really cool too ! Alchemist bosses ftw ! "For science" !
