    MIND MELD! :D I've come to realise what Monica Kalondo said in this video the last couple of years and to hear it vocalised so poniently really affirms my faith in humanity ^^ Lead your self before you can lead anyone else and be aware of the fact that you might be or become a "wounded leader". Wazza wounded leader? Well, you're just gonna.. gonna have to set aside like... 18 minutes and watch this damn KZread films -- it's good for your noggin'... like omega 3 all up in your brain, yabish.

    I think she is looking too "small scale". Income equality is a Utopian concept only achieved in the former soviet union in the fields where people were starving equally. Equality of opportunity is the way forward. The main problem is not necessarily the colonial past, its more the economical model that has been used to the point were no one can deny its failure. Why not try free market or something other than socialism.

  • @Mr2tta

    The part of "colonialism",she is referring to Namibia, so you will not understand it if you don't know the Namibian History.

    peay nus Namibia was independent in 1990, it was inherited without debt to the world bank, look at it now, they have had over 20 years of socialism and now they have almost 50% unemployment and quite a bit of obvious corruption. Its exactly what you would expect living in a socialistic system. When she talks of equality it just shows she is trying to solve the problem by applying more socialism which has already proven to be a failure.

  • @ptkumire

    theoneheretosty Namibia is far from being a Socialist country believe you me, just look at the Gini index.And of course the people who were oppressed under colonialism still feel it up to today and its very difficult to rectify the imbalances.

  • @theoneheretosty

    @theoneheretosty

    inizvangu Firstly I would like to know your definition of socialism as its no secret why the leadership refer to each other as "comrades". The whole concept of "equality" shows that you are a socialist. Equality is an Utopian concept that can not exist in reality. You can not have a scenario where everyone is equal, there has to be those elites who ensure everyone else are equal, and they themselves are far from that. A free market system does not need a bank of Namibia, it concentrates on the individual and accepts not everyone will be the same. In other wards equality of outcome is not achievable. Look at Namibia today, look at how much money the country owes the world bank and tell me by what measure would you finally admit that the current direction isnt working?
