Everything is shrinking. The mega rolls of toilet paper I have bought for years is not as mega as it used to be. Also Whole Foods don’t get me started on them. Package of 10 cheese slices, they cut down to 8 slices and raised the price. Corporations are out of control. They blame “inflation”. It’s not inflation it’s pure greed.

These price increases are BS in all areas of business… last four years have SUUUUUUUCKED Even the grocery store pricing is atrocious. My heart hurts for people who are really strapped. If I buy luxury anymore i has to be suuuuuuper selective it’s just disgusting how high everything has become as of late…

when I make a purchase at Maison mc Donalds I make sure I squeeze the SA for some mayo and ketchup samples

I don’t get combo meals anymore. The other day I paid $20 for a triple cheeseburger and fries at shake shack. I ate half the burger and fries and saved the rest for later. It seemed pretty worth it compared to prices from other fast food restaurants these days

I would have driven off with the tray, lol. I've had the people at McDonald's try and hand me my food and item at a time through the window. I simply said "Nope! Give me a bag, I'm not paying for it and I'll hold up your line as long as you need me too". Got the bag.

So now we have to pay for a bag to hold our food that use to be free 😅 what is the world coming to

I eat a small hamburger and small fries w/ no drink (I carry water). My order is over $5 in the suburbs of ATL. You’re right on the Oreos. I do an activity with students using Oreos, and I’ve noticed that the “cream” layer has gotten thinner and thinner.

I’m not paying more then $12 for something I can make better at home! 😤

Shrinkflation is real. Check out how much Little Debbie has shrunk their oatmeal cream pies. Taco Bell used to have a REAL Nachos Bell Grande that was big enough to share. Now it's a joke.

I’ve been making my own black bean burgers, 1/4 lamb burgers and regular 1/4 beef burgers and stashing them in the freezer ready to go. I also prep meals and divvy them up into 2-3 serving sizes and freeze them for the next week so that I have variety. I freeze rice too so that it stays fresh for when I need it (sometimes I want polenta or pasta or quinoa or other instead) I have lunch or dinner out with company a couple of times a week. We used to go out for weekend breakfast, but the price of a couple of eggs, bacon, hash browns and coffee has become outrageous. That’s a meal practically better served up at home.

Gurrrl …. Pretty soon, we will see a McDonald’s logo bag.. it will be worth dineroooooos😳🍔👛👜but nope, might as well go to a nice restaurant, it’s about the same!!!

I personally don’t do “fast food”. Smaller portions are “shrink flation” that’s what’s happening in supermarkets when you purchase pantry items & regular food to cook @ home. I prepare meals in bulk using a slow cooker & put in takeaway containers & freeze. Always having a RTG meal no matter what the day throws @ you. I do prep different meals so it’s not the “same food” in the freezer. Not buying luxury either I’m dine with the shenanigans of the luxury houses. Ty SD great vlog. Oh well the paper bag…they’ve been charging 15 cents for paper bags here almost everywhere, which is why we use the readable bags here. If you go to Walmart or Target if you don’t bring a bag, you pay 99 cents or so for reusable bags to bag your items if you need a bag. At this point I cook at home and bring bags everywhere. However every here is expensive due to everything being imported to the island. 🏝️

i enjoy a Dairy Queen 6 piece chicken strip basket, and last time hubby and I went got 2 of those, 2 medium blizzards it was $30+. i recall when for our same meal was $15. I'm a regular at Chipotle and they are smaller. they will bang the spoon on the side of the guac bin until its barely covering the spoon to then put on your bowl. the chicken, rice and beans barely cover the bottom of the bowl anymore. i will say I'm happy people are noticing shrinkflation with food. I've been noticing it for yrs and also with toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, etc and yes I would bitch about it and all my friends and hubby would say I was overreacting. i was not hunny! I'm a cheap ass but I pay close attention to what I'm getting (oz, lbs, etc) versus pay.

I’m watching as I eat my Whataburger. It came out to $50 for 4 meal/combos and 1 cheeseburger. So considering other prices, it wasn’t bad. But last time it was close to $30 at Mcd’s with 2 meals. It’s a treat at this point. On the plus side I’m cooking more and it’s a healthier option too.

I don't eat junk food, am too aware of the poisons that are in the ingredients, not to mention the fat, sugar and salt. 😮 I have had a homemade Vegan gluten free Shroom burger at a local pub this past wkend, was so yum, but had mushroom, eggplant, spinach, avo and beetroot relish in it- was too die for, ( in a healthy way!), it also came with sweet potato baked chips! Price? 15.00 AUD ( 9USD). I have Never eaten Oreos,I don't eat biscuits either 😅 ( you guys call them cookies). In the lockdown I cooked from home, but am one of those people who just loves cooking, so I know what is going in. 😊 I think if more people did that, and also when in the supermarket avoided junk and processed food, and ate vegies and healthier options- their food bill wouldnt be so high. that's why I don't buy fast food anymore, I might as well use airfryer at home and cook fried chicken burger. no service and quality. what's the point....greed refuse to spend my hard earn coins.

Another way to look at it, if the McDonalds have 6 people working inside making $15 an hour. McDonalds needs to sell at least 6 big Mack's in one hour just cover the cost of labor for that one hour. Now think of how long it takes you standing in line to order and get your food.. how many people order an hour? How many of them order over $15 worth of food? If it's just me, I order less than $10.. they lost money on me and spent 15 minutes. Now they have to use any money spent over $15 to pay for taxes, building, franchise fees, ingredients, property insurance, property taxes, business insurance, any healthcare benefits, etc.

The problem with the fast food model- it was cheap and quick. Now it's now no longer cheap. Who needed cheap food? Low income people. (The fast part is needed by travelers who will pay any price because they're away from home). In areas where minimum wage went up $15 an hour- prices had to match that. Plus the cost of ingredients is directly correlated with the price of gas, gas goes up, prices go up. Now add inflation from the excessive spending done and continuing to be done in the U.S. and you've got yourself a disaster sandwich.

I agree 100% fast food becoming expensive and not only that it is extremely unhealthy as it has high amounts of calories including fats and too much sodium and sugars i prefer getting my self a Versace 🥰💕Tote Bag or Dior 🥰💕Tote Bag for my Macbook Air M3 than eating diabetic foods eww 🤢🤢🤮🤮

Another thought, Americans could use the smaller portions for the Oreo cookies. 30% of us are obese and I'm sure another 20% are overweight at least if I had to guess. So we all as a country could totally benefit from the smaller portions BUT the company is being deceptive. They should've left the regular the regular, got rid of the double stuffed, and made the half size the "diet size" or "fun size" or whatever they want to call it.

Never used a food delivery service, don’t get takeway etc, own my own home outright, it’s not a coincidence.

I bring my own Tupperware to restaurants for leftovers lol don’t bother using their boxes / takeaway stuff
