I find it amusing that female/male author is a question. It never really occured to me about what I was reading in terms of author gender.

I'm just jealous of your everything: books, looks, etc.

I don't care if the author is male or female either. I'd have to consult my book list and count them up to find out which I read most. Love you entrances and exits--very entertaining!

I've read 5 books a week and that wasn't because I was winning at life, quite the opposite actually. For me reading is pure escapism and I am a rather obsessive reader (once I start a book I need to finish it). Reading that much usually means I have no social live and am ignoring important but difficult stuff that needs to be done. Though I too would rather read 5 books a week instead of only 5 pages a day.

For me as well, reading is escapism. It helps me. No matter if I’m stressed, happy or upset. I can read up to 10 books a week, depending on what happens. I read all 7 Harry Potter books in 3 days. It took me 1 month to read the The Scorch Trials 😂

TBR piles only grow...even if you could read 5 books per week.....there is just sooo many amazing books out there!! It so wonderfully sad........

HAHAHA, "I love the smell of them!..... actually this one smells gross because I got it from a library booksale" Omg I died! XD And I have no idea how people fly through ebooks!! I feel like I read them 100 times slower or I feel like I'm not even reading an actual book lol it's just complicated for me hahaha

I agree with having books be television shows. That's why I love the Outlander show because they have the time to do the book justice.

As someone who does read about 4-5 books a week (lots of downtime at work between tasks) I will say that my TBR pile is still huge! That's a beautiful thing about books, there is always tons more adventures waiting!!

Hardbacks are cheaper if you buy them on b&n's website versus in store (actually, pretty much the same cost as amazon). Also, b&n lists secondhand/indie stores (like amazon) where you buy the book new/used for cheaper.

I'd go with Amazon too. Completely agree that people who can read 5 books per week are winning at life!

I can't say I prefer trilogies to stand alones but I agree wholeheartedly with everything else especially the physical book vs. eBook. I like to look at them on my shelf like trophies.

I think e-books are way more convenient, but I just love the idea of having shelves and shelves bursting with books lining all the walls of my apartment. It would make me so happy to look at. Plus, I just love the feeling of holding an actual book in your hands, and the sound that the pages make when you turn them is just... ughh. I'm such a nerd ^_^

One point last year when I was in school I ended up reading a book a day. for about 3-4 weeks

when my brother and I were younger we used to have reading contests and see who could read the most books in a week, and my bro would always win. At times he would read at least a book a day, so he would end up reading like 10 books a week and I would read around 6 - but hs has taken over and neither of us read as much

this was so much fun to watch that i ended up just filming the tag as well. WOOT!

I read five books in one week before. When I go to the beach I can read four books still go to the ocean and do tons of other things and still complete four books in that one week.

Dude, I know the feel about being bad at following through with trilogies. Or, in my case, any book series. I still have to read the second book in The Daughter of Smoke & Bone series, and I finished the first one... I don't even remember. It's been awhile, haha.

ugh why do i always fail at having my books in order. xD

my favorite genre right now is YA high fantasy, YA fantasy, YA epic fantasy, Dystopian and Science fiction, I feel like I am trapped in a box and cant get myself out of it, as much as i am told to try new sorts of books I could read YA fantasy, YA high fantasy, YA epic fantasy, Dystopian and Science fiction forever.

"I find it really hard to go and see a hardback book for $20..." in Australia, our paperback books are $20 smh :'(

For me it's always slower to read ebooks, I carry books with me, but not my iPad mini or kindle (I don't have an Iphone).

My sister reads like six books per week she just reads and reads the only time I see her is in the morning before we go to school and at dinner
