These are ultra rich people, spending this kind of money is nothing to them. All these people are doing is chasing exclusive items because money is no object to them. Companies like Tiffany know there are whales out there so they can get away with up charging for a color swap.

I don't understand why. It'll probably be kept at the bank. Can't even wear it without worrying about someone brutally killing you and chopping your arm off to take the watch. I guess so you can tell your other rich friends "yeah I got a tiffany nautilus. No I can't even show you it, it's at the bank"

The Tiffany nautilus managed to get sold at the aunction for 6.5million dollar. Even after deducting the cost given to the aunctioner there is actually quite a big margin to be make.

He’ll have to spend 2.5 million on jewelry that he’ll probably lose at least 750k on if resold.. so for the price the Tiffany patek is going for it’s still a good deal if you have the money.

Jewelry can be resold. By getting it at retail he's getting a bargain than buying it through auction. And besides, no man with a lot of money to burn would even consider buying it. And besides, he's a hobbyist, watch would probably be with his family for generations unless someone sells it

Watches used to have name of the retailer on the watch printed on it and many years ago Tiffany is one of the famous retailer that sell Patek. So this edition of Patek Nautilus with Tiffany is actually a limited release with the signature Tiffany dial and Tiffany brand on it. So if you see Tiffany printed on a watch it is most probably very expensive.
