Completely agree. I cringed at some of his responses. She sounds like a fun person while I am surprised he is considering a career in comedy with that personality. She said she is spiritual and that she understands why someone could opt for an open-marriage. These things seemed to go over his head and he started assuming the worst about her. It is strange he couldn't tell the difference between "spirituality" and "atheism".

However, in many situations, it can also mean that the woman devotes her life to supporting/caring/honoring for her husband and any kids they may have (since most religions tend to be patriarchal)

She comes across like a self-actualized person who do not let differences disturb her inner peace. On the contrary, he seems bothered by any deviation, and is very quick to make assumptions. Although it is evident that they both share the same conservative views on marriage, his arrogance prevented him from finding any common grounds with her. Instead he was more focused why she does NOT meet his standards. Ironically, the point of contention for him was that she is too 'open-minded' and 'free-flowing' yet he expressed the immense pressure he felt to conform to a certain career path. His expectations are unrealistic and he sounds confused. Until he finds himself (or speak truthfully), he will only set himself up for failure.. perhaps this explains his awkward career choice.. I would think she has characteristics that would make a perfect audience member for a comedian.

She says here "Noooo, Atheist can't be spiritual. They believe in nothing". That's just so wrong. Let me make this easier for you, Lilly...."spirituality" is not a belief system. Let’s be real though...he only said “no” because he was afraid that she would reject him. He gained a few points for me at the end when he said “damn” when she felt he was a match and he definitely low key asked her on a date! He was shocked and dismayed that she said yes, they’re a match, and regretted his answer. He’s got his own growth to do and I do give him more points for trying to take back his wrong answer and put himself out there. Next time, don’t be afraid of rejection! Be confident and put yourself on the line, especially for someone as lovely as she. I’d love to hear an update.

I think she's too open-minded for him, he has his set standards of who and what he wants in someone and believes in, whereas she's just open to almost anything and will wait for the "right one" to come, whoever that may be.

This is my favorite episode of all time. It didn’t workout between them but they still went out as friends. ❤️

I don't like the way he says "it's true". He is so set in his ways, that I could't imagine him being open minded. And she speaks in one tone, makes her seem boring, even though I don't think she is. She is so calm that she gave up on explaining herself a couple of times. She wouln't be in an open marriage and somehow he didn't quite understand that. She gave up. :D
