I'd say Ali would just come up with a strategy to beat either of them, plus Ali was able to stand and bang with some of the heaviest hitters to ever enter the ring (i.e. George Foreman, Earnie Shavers, Sonny Liston). And don't forget about Ali's durability and cardio.

In my view if you go back in time slowly... Wlad is about the same as Hollyfield, and he would be about the same as say Norton. ALi would beat AJ and Wlad, but it would be close. Usyk about the same as Fraser? So Ali win 2 out of 3 fights. Fury.... ALi could out point him, punch and move for 12 rounds. Again wins 2 out of 3 fights, all very close. ALso would say, Leon Spinks lol loses to Usyk, but against Norton, Fraiser and Holmes. Even, at best. late 70's early 80's Larry Holmes a nightmare for anyone and could in my view beat Usyk, AJ, Wlad and Fury. But again very close.

I think both Usyk and Fury could beat Ali but it's not to say they would win every time. They are all point scorers to an extent (fury less so in latter years). Fury would know how to use his size and Usyk could be agile enough to get to Ali and win. However, they are close fights for sure

One thing that’s funny about this is publicity Muhammad Ali would be a BEAST with social media, imagine the trash talk and the utter gusto of his supporters. And in general a pure beauty to behold lol.

Also these guys threw more punches in every round and would go into the 15th round throwing more punches in the final round than most heavyweights throw In the first 6 rounds. Have a look at the last round of Holmes v Norton. I didn't like Lennox Lewis but he improved with age to the point that even I was impressed how good he had become. Bear in mind he was as BIG as these heavyweights today. He was far more skilled, polished powerful and generally ring smart. He would walk through these guys today. I'm not being deliberately biased towards my generation. Holyfield seems to be overlooked when comparing different fighters from different ages. Holyfield fought at around 185 up to 218 or so. During that time he went 56 rounds with Bowel and Lewis while giving 30 pounds away to guys that were top tier guys. In fact you could match Holyfield v Dempsey with them being the same weight. Likewise Louis, Dempsey, Patterson, Liston, Frasier, Ali, Foreman.....he fought Lewis as I said who was around the same weight as the Klitschkos. Holyfield was past his best when he fought Lewis and Lewis was possibly at his peak. Holyfield fought Valuev when he was way past his best and was robbed. He probably gave away 70 pounds or so. Admittedly I was always rooting for Holyfield but putting that aside for the moment I'm just surprised that Holyfield isn't used as a benchmark against the greats of the past and the heavyweights of today given his weight changes and the fact he could fight much bigger opponents who were rated very highly and were in fact well respected champions.

One attribute that your leaving out is Ali’s granite chin, man he could take a shot.

​@@Insert.anger50hey genius he got parkinsons because of the thousands of blows he took in sparring. When he came back from exile he couldn't avoid punches like he could before. So to get used to getting, he and his team had this brilliant idea that taking shots in sparring would prepare him for the actual fight. Horrible idea and it's what led to the early parkinsons. And just because he got parkinsons doesn't mean he didn't have a great chin.

There is a comment that George Foreman made about Muhammad Ali saying that one time he had been hitting him for a round or two in the stomach as hard as he could and Muhammad leaned over his shoulder in the middle of the round and said is that all you got George

Ali lost his prime years when they stripped him of his title and banned him from boxing for three years. Just before that he was untouchable.

Not true. Ali was exceptional no doubt, and deserves his spot in the GOAT ranking. He took on some absolute killers. However, even during his prime, he was KO'd and saved by the ropes and the bell. If he hadn't fallen back on the ropes, he'd have been out cold. He even required help getting onto his stool, he was clearly out on his feet. Not only was he saved by the bell, but his corner, as far as we can see in the vid cheated and used smelling salts to wake Ali back up in time to get back out there. No one is untouchable. No one.

Ali would have been a great fighter in any era, but I believe he would have not beaten Forman in a rematch, which is why he ran from Foreman. Lennox never ran from anyone. Lennox had to go to court 3 times to get his respect. 1 for Tyson, 1 for Bowe, 1 for Rahman. Tyson paid 4 million to not fight Lewis when he was young and lost anyway when he finally faced him. Ali would have been hurt by Lennox. Lennox has a jab as good at Larry Holmes. Ali to me is overrated. He fought way past his prime and he had some hard losses. He was not undisputed and could not have been. A prime Mike Tyson may have given Ali some trouble… Lennox hurt a lot of fighters. Wilder, has all knockouts, I think Ali would have lost to him too. I’m not a guy that just jumps on bandwagons. Briggs has the record for the most 1st round knockouts. Briggs was probably on the juice so he would tire after round 1, but Lennox destroyed him too.

Ali had an insane amount of athletic gifts, but he had one super power that hasn’t been seen since…. He could knock you out backing up. He did. This weird rotation with his upper body and if you stepped in while he was backing up he could catch you hard.

We really need to acknowledge that Fury is NOT 6”9. He says he is. But when he initially entered into pro boxing he was listed as 6”7. Just look at him standing next to 6”4 Alex Pereira. Or 6”4 Francis Ngannou. He just isn’t as tall as he pretends to be.

Fury stood face to face 2 inches taller than Wilder. Some people are still growing in their early twenties. A pro debut height can increase. In their 20s, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, and Brock Lesnar grew 1.5 inches. Andre the Giant and my friend Jimmy grew 4 inches. Philadelphia Eagles Vince Papale grew 5 inches, and Dennis Rodman grew 7 inches. Most people round up to the next inch. I'm 5'11 3/8. My driver's licence says 6'0.

Ali is same height, same reach as Usyk. Usyk proved as a dominant Cruiserweight he can dominate at Heavyweight giving up 40-60 lbs on great fighters. The idea Ali would be too small is crazy talk. Sonny Liston reach was same as Fury & Ali battered Liston who was one of the most vicious champions ever & at the time was an avoided fighter before he got the belt. Ali dominated Liston, even while Liston corner cheated & blinded Ali with chemical on Listons glove which had Ali blurred vision for an entire round. Ali survived that 1 round where he didnt win, cameback the next round, whooped Liston till he quit on his stool. Ali stamina was unreal in his prime, more impressive then Liston given the volume of punches & combination fighters of that era threw. They were natural boxers + figters too. Current heavyweights are filled with former athletes who started boxing as young adults. Joshua started boxing at 18, won Olympic gold as amateur in 3 years of picking up boxing and by age 25 was World champion in 15 pro fights. Wilder started boxing at 19, won Olympic bronze in 4 years with limited experience + poor fundamentals, won World title & had 10 title defenses. Thats 2/4 best Heavyweights of this era. Joe Joyce started boxing at 22, he was in an Olympic gold medal game where he arguable won, he got to the level of a top 10 heavyweight as a pro, won interim title. Joyce wouldn't have survived in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and early 2000's. Usyk has skill, experience and talent advantage over all heavyweights in all his fights being a natural boxer in an era of athletes who picked up boxing late. Usyk stamina is great but he's fighting boxers who aren't used to throwing many punches, no fluid combinations punchers but 1 or 2 shot boxers. Usyk isn't having to worry about being matched on punch volume, combinations or speed. Ali had all that, also remeber they were conditioned for 15 rounds. Championship rounds started in round 13, 14 and 15. Many all-time fights change if they were 12 round fights, it takes another level to be great over 15. Sugar Ray Leonard would have lost to Tommy Hearns if it was 12 round fight, he wilted late in that fight. Meldrick Taylor would have beaten Chavez if it was 12 rounds, hell if it was even 14 rounds. Rocky Marciano would have lost to Jersey Joe Walcott if it was 12 rounds & wouldn't have been 49-0. Ali among the greats was one of the most scientific fighters ever, particular heavyweight. His combination of handspeed, footspeed, combination punching, timing at that size was. Along with his being a freak athletic with special mental fortitude. Ali in his prime was the perfect fighter. So P4P his skills, speed, combo punching would have him dominant any division if he was lighter at those divisions. The Ali post 3 year suspension was not the same Ali and his super human reflexes dulled and his footwork wasn't the same. Ali after his sharp reflexes left him & he was more hittable he showed he wasn't just a special boxer but an all-time figter who could take punishment. Usually freak athletes like him who rely on God gifted reflexes when using a unorthodox style usually get exposed & can't continue at elite level, either KO or outfought. Examples being Roy Jones jr, Naseem Hamed, freak athletes who had unorthodox styles who got away with terrible fundamentals because of there sharp reflexes, once that left them both they were not the same, became vulnerable. Roy Jones KO & beat up and fell off from peak of boxing, Naseem Hamed fell off too while still young. Ali dominated & had a hall of fame career just from the period he was past his physical peak.

No way any of the modern HW have a chance against Ali. Probably not against any of the top HW of that era (Ali, Frazier, Foreman). These guys fought multiple times a year for 15 rounds at a time. Guys now fight once a year if they’re lucky for 12 rounds and are gassed by the 6th.

The level of all sports in general gets better through time and considering they'd all be "small" heavyweights these days they definitely wouldn't dominate the modern era. They could get wins against the top guys for sure, but they'd just as likely lose

The way Ali fought then is pretty similar to how boxers fight now. The difference being he was about a century ahead of his time, so the other boxers couldn't really compete

Wilder and Ngannou themselves are very tall as well. 6’5 & 6’7. Even if Fury was 6’9 he wouldn’t “tower” over them. It’s only a few inches apart.

Ali had great vision, he would keep his eyes on his opponents shoulders and can always see when a punch is coming.

When Ali fought Ernie Terrell who was 6'6 and how Ali was slipping his punches, he was called the octopus because how he would grab his opponents, and how Ali counter that, and how Ali would grab, and control Liston it was something how he did it. Muhammad Ali was called The Greatest for a reason.

Despite the massive advances in sports medicine, there has never been a comparable fighter to Ali. If Ali were to be able to take advantage of modern training and recovery techniques, I believe he would still beat anyone alive. 🥊

Earnie terell was 6"6 and had a sniper like jab and Ali had him punching fresh air all night. Ali also weighed more than Wilder was when he fought fury the first time. I think its a myth thag everybody before the 2000s were so much smaller

It's not without comparison when you consider Lenox Lewis fought guys at the tail end of his career that fought guys mentioned in this video. And Lewis fought guys who fought in Ali's era. The skills are transferable.

Ali is multi-generational talent. His speed, endurance, power, and ring savvy are still unmatched in his pre-hiatus prime. I am not saying he would have been undefeated but he could have beaten everyone after him if given rematch opportunities.

Ali: 15 rounds, heavier gloves, toughest opponents in history... Joe Frazier would have ruled the world if not for Ali. That kinda quality was just never seen again. Tyson fury would gas out before Ali and Ali would play on that. Prime Mike Tyson would have a chance due to peekaboo style.

Oh hey thanks so much for crediting me Tony! It takes a lot of time to find all the clips of those specific techniques from multiple fights for my breakdowns, so I appreciate the courtesy you've shown. This was a great video btw. It's funny that Ali fought his tallest competitors near the exact same way he fought everyone else. They definitely weren't his best competition over all, but he was so fast he could pull off all the same tricks. I doubt he could do that with the same ease against some of today's modern fighters, but I still feel he would adapt and beat the large majority of them. Especially after seeing what Usyk could do against Fury. Just my opinion though :)

Yeah, I agree like the Ernie Terrell fight, Ali while giving up 3in in height to Terrell who was 6’6” still used the hands down circle and jab approach and eventually taunted Terrell. So I believe Ali would take Klitchko, AJ, and Fury. Usyk is an interesting one, is style is so different to what Ali faced I wonder how that would shake out, I personally believe the fight goes the distance and if the fight is greater than 10 rounds Ali takes it just because of his stamina he showed in the later rounds of so many fights his hand and foot speed would also wear Usyk out throughout the fight. What do you think about a Usyk vs Ali fantasy matchup?

The Ali who fought against Williams was the best boxer who ever existed, let's not forget that he had a chin of steel and that if tired he could stand on the ropes to cash in and then finish you off later. He fought against monsters (Frazier, Norton, Foreman, Shavers, Lyle) and let's not forget that Liston has the same reach as Fury

Nobody forgets the guys of the past. It's not that anyone forgot them. Frazier would be small for cruiser these days. Even Foreman would be on the small side compared to today's heavies, and very slow.

​@@greek1237 Williams was still clearly dangerous. He didn't just come out of nowhere and fight Ali for the world title. Williams earned his way to a title shot because he was winning fights and could still hit hard. Ali would have beat any version of Williams.

Ali setups and traps would be too much. Klitschko would have a hard time tracking the combos, and you can’t clinch something that’s moving. Fury could not put footwork Ali, Joshua would have to be in position to land a punch, and Usyk may have the best chance given his speed angles but range would be an issue. To be honest, I don’t see current heavies beating Joe Frazier.

Ali, tyson, foreman, frazier, holyfield, jones jr, lewis, liston, holmes, tua, morrison. All in one era. The best of the big guys at heavyweight. Pure boxing wet dream fantasy.

Ali would absolutely dominate today the only era I think he struggles in is in the 80s to 90s era. Ali personifies ahead of his time. We have yet to see a heavyweight move like him and have the speed he had in terms of reflexes and overall agility.

Love your content, Tony. Especially the videos showing self-defense and how to punch properly. I was bullied in school, but no social media back then punching tips would have come in handy. But hopefully younger guys and ladies get the benefit of it. And great vid love boxing! Have Ali book and watched documentary's. Hands down the greatest heavyweight ever in any decade.

Ali is a legend, he would be a beast even today. Great content as always🥊

The 70's was arguably the most talented era of heavyweight boxing. it's definitely more talented than today. As for reach, Sonny Liston had an 84 inch reach which is similar to Fury's and longer than any of the other guys in this video and Ali still danced around him and stepped in to attack when he felt like.

He lost to Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall..were they quality fighters? He lost almost every round of his fight with Vitali Klitschko, Vitali was so unlucky to have been cut early on in the fight. Muhammed Ali lost to a 7 fight novice in Leon Spinks. These guys today are much bigger and there's a lot more use of IQ today than in any past era..they don't just come out swinging like guys in the past, they are taking time to set up shots, finding ways to use range and angles to their advantage during fights, upped their defense game to avoid taking too much damage, etc. In this era, boxing has developed into a legitimate form of martial arts from just being a sport for brawlers in the so-called "golden era".

@@JayEkh dude Lewis avenged both those loses pretty easily and Ali was well past his prime when he lost to Spinks and even he avenged that loss too. Ali beat Liston twice, Patterson twice, Frazier twice, Norton twice and he beat Shavers and Foreman 😂 Lewis fought Klitschko literally in the last fight of his career and Klitschko was a great fighter and Lewis still beat him. You can blame the cut all you want but Lewis put it there. So again. Who beats Lewis today?

One thing's for sure: the social media trash talk between Ali and Fury would have been appointment viewing, regardless of medium. XD

Usyk cant handle Alis speed. Sorry but I love Usyk but his DEFENSE imo isn't great enough to beat Ali. He demolished Tyson Fury and STILL sustained a lot of damage. You need ELITE head movement to beat Ali and, strangely enough, Usyk is too tall. Ali strugled against SHORTER fighters like Frazier who, imo, gave him the most trouble. Somebody like PRIME Mike Tyson would post more danger to Ali. Heck, I think PRIME Mike Tyson KO's Usyk but that's just me. This era is weak and they don't wanna fight each other. Prime Liston probably beats Usyk too. PAST HIS PRIME Ali avenged losses to Frazier and Norton - ONLY a freak of nature could do that. Now, had Usyk BEAT a PRIME Klitschko or a PRIME Lennox lewis, okay NOW we are talking. Fury is overrated. Wilder? One trick pony. Joshua is a good but Usyk beat him twice and exposed his lack of ELITE hand speed.

I agree on Wilder. If you could get past that one,deadly sudden punch, he had no plan B. Tyson had this way of getting inside the taller opponents and unloaded bombs like few others before him. He really was a force of nature. I think young Tyson would have brought Fury to the floor in 4 rounds.

Why he would - 1) Prime Ali's movement , they wouldn't be able to catch him , & plus because of their size , they would get tired. 2) Prime Ali's chin & grit

Ali is the goat. The fact that he's one of the most influential sportsmen ever, never mind boxers and yet no heavyweight has ever been able to copy his style. He was 6'3 220 and literally moved like a featherweight. Ali was just a different breed of athlete that we may never see again in heavyweight boxing. Plus he had endurance for days. They fought 15 rounds back then and the ref used to let fighters go. Ali's chin was also world class. No one ever knocked him out and only a couple of guys managed to put him on the mat for a few seconds and he faced some of the hardest punchers ever. For me Ali beats anyone in a three fight series.

I think you're overestimating Tyson Fury. His boxing resume doesn’t compare to Ali's, i don't put him in the same class as Ali. Mike Tyson v Ali is a great argument. I don't have Tyson in my top five heavyweights of all time, but styles make fights but he would cause difficulties for Ali. For me if they fought ten times, i have Ali winning seven. I love these debates, by the way. Great video.

I agree with you about Mike Tyson, the only one, maybe along with Lennox Lewis, who could fight Ali worthily. Let us not forget that the unbeatable Tyson was only the one before prison, who was unrivaled from 1985 to 1990. For me if Ali fought ten times vs. that Mike Tyson, he would lose seven times.

Tyson would beat Ali very easily, he's 50 lbs heavier and 5-6 inches taller, much longer reach. Tyson has way better fundamentals, Ali was too unorthodox. Tyson is probably the fastest "big man" we've ever seen in boxing, and Ali got hit A LOT, probably more than anyone in the history of boxing. You can't just let a 260+ lb 6'8 guy pummel you on the ropes, "rope a dope" wouldn't work.

One thing not mentioned about Ali , he never attacked to the body , only the head ...... to this day I've never seen anyone repeat this amazing feat . The fact he was able to achieve this is incredible. He truely is the greatest .

I love Ali more than just about anybody but you make a really good point about his style being tougher to pull off against bigger guys - a good example is Joe Bugner, who was the only guy who made Ali stalk/walk him down and fight a more orthodox style, and that made him look awkward AF - but Ali being Ali, always finds a way

he also made bad choices and risky bet vs south paws . Only worked because they were not top level . This is why im convinced usyk beat Ali .

I think Usyk is comparable to Ali in skill and agility. So him doing so well in todays heavyweight era shows how well Ali would have done.

The difference between 6'3 and 6'6 is only 3 inches. That is a marginal difference. But the weight changes, average was about 210lbs in the 70s. Now the average is about 230lbs - 260lbs.

Terrific breakdown! You mentioned how smart Ali was. I think that he would have figured out how to modify his technique to better suit fighting taller, more athletic opponents. For example, he didn't leave his chin exposed when he fought Foreman. Also, when he fought Foreman he showed he could take virtually unlimited punishment to the body. He also showed how incredibly tough he was when he fought Ken Norton for 14 rounds with a broken jaw (although he lost that one). I'm not sure he could have knocked any of your four modern fighters out; but I think he could have gone the distance with any of them....and with his ultra-quick hands, he could have racked up enough points to beat any of them.

Usyk fight proved that Ali would destroy Fury. Case closed

Larry Holmes was an elite HW in the 70/s, 80/s and 90/s. Beating prime HW/s in each era - from Earnie Shavers, Ken Norton to Gerry Cooney, Tim Witherspoon to Ray Mercer. His mental toughness and talents transcended those eras. And I'd take those skills today over the benefits of sports science. If the likes of Larry Holmes, Sonny Liston, Ali, Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Ike Ibeabuchi, Ron Lyle, Jimmy Young, Tim Witherspoon, Pinklon Thomas, Michael Dukes and Greg Page were around today - they'd be no room in the top 10 for the likes of Fury, Joshua and Wilder.

It's an age old question, would ????? beat Mohamed Ali? And it's something we'll never know. All I can say is, I'm just glad I was around to see that heavyweight division of the 1970s. Ali elevated boxing to its highest status, the ultimate athlete, charismatic, bright and handsome. I still watch his Parkinson interviews every now and again.

Apart from his genius as a boxer and I say that apart from his tremendous skills he was also a phenomenal personality i His charisma his bravery in refusing to serve in Vietnam.. I look at the heavyweights today not only would he have roundly beat them obviously usng modern training methods. Look at the personalities or what there is of them. Ali was yet again head and shoulders above them

Ali would be Ali in today’s world if we’re talking about in his prime.

Absolutely not. Foreman was one of the biggest and hardest hitters at the time, and he was 220lbs when he fought Ali. Smaller than Usyk, and not a tenth as fast or technical. Ali would've never beaten guys like Usyk. However, if Ali had grown up with modern sports science and the evolution of boxing since his day, then he could've been competitive.

I think you're also forgetting in Muhammad Ali's era fighters fought 15 rounds not 12. I don't think fury would have the stamina with that weight to go 15 rounds and even if he did he would still be out pointed. Ali by SD.

If you fight 15 rounds you train for 15 rounds , if you fight for 12 rounds you train for 12 rounds . It’s not a can’t do it thing you prepare your rounds , punch counts etc to whatever the fight is .

Agreed. Tyson Fury is much bigger than Ali. Also, Ali took punches from Ernie Shavers and people say he was the hardest punches in history. Ali had a chin man.

There were plenty of boxers in the past who were just as big as the big men now - the underrated Ernie Terrell was 6'6" for example and Ali made a complete mockery of him. Ali boxed some of the hardest hitting HWs of all time - Foreman, Shavers, Lyle, Cleveland Williams, Liston. Ali would have no problem with the power of modern HWs, assuming they could even land a punch. Ali would beat every modern HW without difficulty. Only someone like Lennox Lewis would be a problem. Fun question. If peak Ali fought Wilder, would Wilder even land a single meaningful punch

My favorite part of this video is at the end, when he mentioned that his favorite heavyweight boxer is Mike Tyson

I am an Usyk fan, but in my mind Ali is still the goat in the heavyweight division.

You see that heavyweights of the past where not technical ( or very skilled ) compared to today. Ofcourse a smart guy like ali could thrive in a period with mostly head hunting sluggers and brawlers. Tony. Lots of love and respect to you. Absolutely love your videos. O this question, I am a hardened fan of Ali. I personally think he is way above all heavyweight boxers. In his prime nobody could have beaten him. Was strategic, adaptable and brave.... and all the reasons you mentioned.

Fun video and good arguments. The flaw is that IF they actually could fight that means they are both brought together in the same moment. This means either the modern guys would be training like Ali did or Ali would have the benefits of modern training and science. Just depends on when and where the Time Machine dropped them off! lol

Are we talking 12 or 15 rounds? Because Ali on 12 rounds doesn't have to reserve anything, while 15 rounds for the likes of AJ and Fury is going to be a major struggle. And if we are taking about modern day boxing, Ali benefits from the same and doesn't have to deal with being drafted for Vietnam and missing years of his career. In this hypothetical situation, Ali would run rings around all of these guys.

Excellent point, especially now post Usyk vs Fury, where Fury gassed sometime around the 8th round. There's no way he survives against the Ali that went 15 full rounds with a prime Joe Frazier.

Have you guys actually watched Ali's fights? He and his opponents get really sluggish after 8 or so rounds. Though sports science has gotten better these days, Ali didn't get to benefit from that.

@@djardine2520 They looked slow as hell after 10 rounds. Ali especially looks bad, im surprised Fraizer lost this one but Ali's corner admitted they were seconds away from quitting also.

Don't forget the heart and damage absorption ability Ali had. I don't see anyone doing the Thrilla in Manilla ever again.

I really enjoyed this boxing geekery. Ali vs. Usyk would be *epic.* Ali's infighting was also very, very underrated. He was a master at clinching, and literally pushing his opponent off balance to take the power out of their punches. That skill contributed greatly to his success against the heavy hitters of his era, such as Liston and Foreman. Another benefit of the low guard was energy conservation. It takes effort to hold one's hands up.

Tony, can you please make a video on the soviet style so we can learn it too I am an amateur boxer by the way

Klitschko is technically exceptional, like Norton he might be vulnerable to big punchers but he is hard for a smaller man to outbox. Dangerous fight for Ali that he might well lose. AJ can punch but he's only a good (not great) boxer. He got outboxed by Povetkin and Kltschko and got bailed out by his power. He got handily beaten by the much smaller Usyk. Against Ali he'd have to get lucky, no way he wins a boxing match. Usyk is just very slick. Ali was a bit faster and a more natural talent, Usyk is more technically sound with the high guard and the textbook combinations. Very tough fight to call. Tyson Fury is an awkward fight. I can see Ali dancing on the outside and then ripping combinations inside, I can see Fury jabbing and grabbing to frustrate him. I'd probably give Ali an edge in that one.

Fury is the easist one to call, sadly Fury is super over rated one of the things folks credit him with speed is a thing he truely lacks. Ngannou exposed him for that Wilder beat him with speed. Hard to see a man that moves so poorly around the ring with slow telegraphed punches being able to match up aginst the boxer with the greastest foot work ever seen. Fury would be swing at air most of the time. The rest i do agree with.

How is Ali a more natural talent ? What kind of statement is that.? Usyk had over 300 Amateur fights ,if he didn't have a natural talent he never would of started boxing so early.People can't get over the fact that Usyk is simply better than everyone today and him and Ali would be a great match at the same weight,say 200 lbs. Get them at their best weight ,you have the fight of the century. . At their near highest weight Usyk would dominate Ali. Ali@230 vs. Usyk@220. Ali vs Foreman was not Ali's best although it was his most impressive victory.Ali in truth in his prime at his best was a Cruiserweight or just above.

I agree, Tyson at his best is simply unbeatable. He is in another tier.

I have a honest question how do I get fatser reflexes so I can be able to dodge punches faster and counter it?

I think Ali vs Usyk would be a very interesting fight, both fighters are the same height, weight, reach etc. And they both are fantastic at making mid fight adjustments.

I imagine a heavyweight super series with Ali, Foreman, Tyson, Holmes , Marciano Johnson, Louis, Lewis, Frazier, maybe throw in Fury , Bowe, Holyfield and a few others , all age 22 .. and let the battles ensue

Don’t forget Ali was a master of Psychological Warfare BEFORE the matches.. he beat you down mentally before he ever touched your and even during the fight the warfare continued. Ali would be getting in their heads and under their skin verbally during the match this might be part of the X factor of Ali nowadays as the trash talking is at an abysmal level compared to his heyday

Ali came up in the golden age of boxing. He's competitors or in a class all by themselves. Kletchko, or whatever his name is, is only one that I've seen that I would put into that category.

Can you imagine Ali on twitter and Facebook? He’d be the greatest rapper/shit talker/ boxer/ and bully on earth today. Ali was the fastest and most skilled heavyweight ever to fight. I don’t think anyone could beat him in his prime. He knew how to get in your head and mess with you and he knew how to box.

Ali had an.. iron jaw, massive will to win!, speed, athleticism,endless gas tank!, every punch in the book!... the guy was a monster!.... you give that man modern training techniques and he is as dominant today as he was then. Theres only one true GOAT!... And thats ALI.

Modern techniques don't mean shit imo. You said it yourself: if Ali is the goat he had good enough techniques I'd say. Best thing for a fighter is to fight often. Back in the days top guys had stay busy fights. Keeps the fighter sharp!

Ali was dropped a few times. Vitali Klitschko and Usyk (so far) are the only heavyweight champs to not get knocked down.

Tyson fury is surprisingly agile and is probably the closest to alis footwork we're every gonna get for a long time. But I just gotta give it to ali. Muhammad ali in his prime had an iron chin and amazing grit and I feel like the fight would be a more contested version of the rumble in the jungle. But I respect your view on this cuz modern fighters training methods are very advanced

I heavily disagree I personally I think fury’s footwork is amazing but not to the point of Ali’s, I think a lot of it is because of his stature Ali was fit and in my opinion a lot more fast than fury. I feel as though fury has the best footwork of any heavyweight as of now, but in the long run I still think Ali wins in that department

Traing metods mean absolutely nothing compared to a mans will of never accepted defeat! Which is why Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time he went into battles where the odds were astronimically against him yet he still won!!!!

I think Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time. I think Lennox Lewis is the second. But I do think Ali could come unstuck against Lewis and may be Fury, but on the hole, yes.

Tony i really believe you dont give George Forman enough credit. To say these days that fighters are better is valid . However a fighter like George in his physical prime could have certainly ruined any one of them . Lets be real here

For Tyson vs Ali it’s hard because Ali was so fast with his feet but also Tyson is so fast with his hands it’s really hard

Furys hands are super slow. Watch them vs wilder or Ngannou that is a combination of really poor foot work and slow hands. Furys shoulders are tiny for his size. So they rob him of conection to his body and really slow him down. Fury has always been talked up as having fast hands, he really does not. Fast hands start with great foot work. This is Fury's greatest weakness his foot work is very poor worst of the top 4 curently. He is rarely able to get his front foot either inside or out side the line of the other guys foot. This always leaves him out of measure. Some thing AJ demonstrated how to do vs Ngannou. Thus when fury send his one decent punch it has little wieght behind it. Agian an issue with small shoulders for his size. Also fury has not fought any one good really. Ngannou beat him wilder beat him twice.
