Would LeBron-2008 Redeem Team or Michael Jordan-1992 Dream Team win in a game? | NBA | UNDISPUTED

Спорт

LeBron Janes and Dwyane Wade are currently producing a documentary on the 2008 United States Men's Basketball team. This has many people asking who would have won a game between LeBron's squad, and Michael Jordan's 1992 Dream Team. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe decide whether the Redeem Team or Dream Team would win.

Kobe was the leader the players looked up too but start to finish of that Olympics Wade was the best player in that tournament so I’d say they shared the duty of it being their team because they were the champions that already knew how to win big games. They showed up the most in the gold medal game as well. People forget Wade was balling that entire time of the Olympics and also had that championship DNA at the time.

@Beery LeBron very obviously outplayed Kobe in 2008, as did Wade. Better stats across the board, far better efficiency, better playmaking and much better defense. Kobe was honestly pretty mediocre in 2008. With low volume and fairly weak opposing defenses you'd expect better than 46% from the field and 32% from 3. Also who cares what they did before 2008? We're talking 2008 not the other years. Kobe didn't play in any other competitions and LeBron was 20 years old and basically not used by Team USA in '04.

Also, you’re telling me that the Dream Team can out shoot the Redeem Team? You can’t be serious. Math, simply makes them lose. 90s rules, Redeem Team dominates. Modern rules, Redeem Team wins a close game. NEUTRAL REFS bc they cheated for Jordan more than any other player 😂 literally damn near gave him the final championship 😂 if you don’t believe me, go watch game six and count how many illegal defenses they didn’t call on him but called on other players, they took away a 3 for the Jazz with 1 left on the shot clock, but Ron Harper had zeros on the shot clock and they counted his bucket. Who on AVERAGE is more athletic? There’s bench players known as shooters that literally dunk. Most 90s bench players could barely touch the rim consistently. Be real. I can knock off any rebuttal tbh. Players realistically are more athletic now than before. That is called evolution. Even if the 90s teams had the same workouts and were the same physically, that doesn’t make up for the fact that people currently shoot more and shoot better from three than they did before. 3>2 With modern rules, it’s a close game because the old school can’t foul. They can’t be fouled. So the deciding factor is gonna be threes. The modern era are just better and more willing shooters. Old school, they are not gonna bully in the paint as much as you would think. Even if they do, their bigs will get beat off the dribble. That’s 2s AND 3s. The spacing would make it difficult for bigs to help. Illegal defense combined with spacing would make it impossible to help. So it’s always 1v1 for Redeem bc if you double, they WILL hit the 3. EVERYBODY WILL hit the 3. The Dream Team , some CAN hit the three but won’t most of the time. Especially the bigs. They won’t call a lot of fouls so not as many And 1s bc they have the athleticism and length to stay in front and get good contest WITHOUT fouling. They simply lose because of math. If you think any of those bigs could consistently guard Melo and KD on the PERIMETER, you are truly delusional. Y’all thinking Jordan vs Kobe. No. It’s Jordan vs KD AND Melo AT THE SAME TIME. Jordan was great. STRONG argument for GOAT. However, he’s not beating them by himself. His “competitiveness” isn’t out doing math. Y’all really expect Jordan to CONSISTENTLY MAKE 5+ 3s, let alone TAKE them CONSISTENTLY. 😂 Be real.

The 1992 team would annihilate the 2008 squad. The 92 team Had Jordan, Magic, Bird, Drexler, Ewing, Chris Mullen, Pippen, Stockton, Karl Malone, and Charles Barkley. While 2008 starting five was comparable (Kobe, LeBron, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh/Dwight Howard) it's the depth of 92 that sets them apart. The Dream Team is way deeper than the Redeem Team.

Dream Team wins hands down. Pippen, Jordan, Ewing/Robinson, Bird and Magic. Magic is 1 year removed from his last finals appearance. Magics experience makes him contain LeBron. Prime Kobe is not beating Prime Jordan. Jordan won DPOTY in 88, so 92 dream team has MVP Jordan. Robinson has the size and won dPOTY in 92 so he takes on Dwight Howard who won dpoty in 08. Shannon Sharpe wants you to believe the redeem team has more talent but they would be over matches. Pippen on Wade for example would be a sight to see. Pippen isn't given the respect he deserves and he really should be talked about with higher regard. Barkley would also have done some damage to the redeem team with his size and athleticism.

Let's take the obvious out of the picture, MJ, Magic, Lebron, Kobe. '92 frontcourt was something else. Not only you had Chuck who could rattle the stuffings out of Melo, you then had Malone, Ewing and Robinson in rotation vs Dwight and Bosh. And I didn't even get to Scottie yet, who could guard anything. Clyde coming off the bench to get his buckets, Mullin and Larry off the bench for some 3's, Stock who could faciliate immensely, great perimeter D, I mean, the Dream Team also had crazy depth and insane rotations. I'd go with the Dream Team.
