The problem with JSO is that protest, whether disruptive or not, needs to bring people to support your cause. Most of their actions alienate people to the cause, and that’s the issue.

I'd also like to ask him, as an oil protester, how his tie-dye shirt was made? Also, how his printed Kurt Cobain T-shirt was made? I can guarantee they were made with petrochemicals (oil). As is much of the hair-dye the Just Stop Oil protesters seem to use. It's funny how the use of oil is fine when feeding or satisfying ones vanity/narcissism.

Um pretty sure he’s wearing clothing 🤔 probably including shoes, does he use a cell phone or ride on anything other than his own two feet ? Kind of hypocritical. He probably couldn’t make it as a singer/actor or on social media, so this is the next best thing to get on a screen. This is a sad case of people living in their own little fantasy world instead of doing things to make a change. Like make a movement that boycotts anything made with oil, don’t wear clothing unless you made it from leaves, communicate by conch shell, things like that. 😂

Super interesting video! I think the public response to Just Stop Oil and the comments on this very video are proof to two vital things: 1. That society is so hugely disconnected from the immense scale of the climate crisis that its nearly impossible to comprehend the acts that JSO does. If you cannot comprehend that every year there are 21 million climate refugees you will never understand how small disrupting a tennis match is in comparison to human lives. 2. That the media has society just where it wants it - polarised and turning on people instead of the legislation. As with all activism, I imagine JSO does work behind the scenes, writing to MPs and directing its energy directly at the government, oil, investors and oil companies. But you don't see it in the media.

We have to stop forgetting that these people are trying to act out to limit the millions of deaths that have begun being lost from the climate crisis. Let's not lose perspective of that next time we see them on a football pitch! Mad respect to all of them!

I would agree with him on his statement that " we are all hypocrites in some sense" it is true. Humans and organisms in general care about themselves and their interest first so even the principals that we stand with and live for might be broken in almost everyday. Ex: you love dogs and u do not want to see animals being slaughtered but u would pay a good price for a meal with meat in it. It's just what it is. Not something bad not something good just it is.

@@ninjaclown2081Lol thats a pretty daft statement, forests dont evolve, what has happened is the trees and plants have evolved to cope with the fires, they would be much more successful if the didnt regularly get burnt down, unfortunately many animals will be be maimed or burnt to death and many plants will burn and not recover. If the hotter temperatures caused by global warming cause the forest to burn down too often then that is the end of that forest.
