But would the UK want to use nukes for a war over Gibraltar? Ya no. I actually think the Spanish have a decent shot if no one else is involved. They would surround and overwhelm Gibraltar forces. Now all they would have to do is defend the coasts from British landings from the north or crossings through Portugal. The straights of Gibraltar is quite defensible and I doubt the British would try to retake Gibraltar as a war strategy. They would probably try to land in the north and cause enough damage that would make Spain surrender. If Spain can keep the British from occupying and reinforcing coastal land they would win; except for quite horrific casualties considering Britain's superior air and sea power. If Britain gets access through Portugal then Spain has little chance of victory.

Except they aren't out dated in the world stage ESPECIALLY f-15-F16's when you consider what everyone else is running around with and the thing is combat aviation is not stagnant, no matter your opinions on the f-22 and f-35 projects those are in full swing or the chinese J-20 or J-31 or Russian T-50's, Su-34/35's there are quite a few examples of Fifth-generation fighters that completely contradict what you are saying, I just dont see how you can think combat aviation is stagnant or near stagnant, sure its not cold war innovations seemingly every other day but its anything but stagnant.

Well, now take into account that Germany is also expanding in terms of tanks, planes, anti-airplane combat and navy firepower. But a great factor is patriotism and Poland is clearly superiour in that regard.

I don't see that as too much of a threat, but huge anti-war protests of numerous left groups, Antifa and a lack of moral would lead to a serious problem. The german war industry is quite large beeing the third biggest worldwide, but I think a few radical pacifists would refuse to work in such a case or undermine german war effort.

Not as successful, yes. But if we would need to prepare for a war, there is no denying that even our peaceful german mindset could fix those problems and get a good army in return. Germany is just a much richer and bigger country than Poland. Maybe that will change someday, but till than, hypothetically speaking, we could defeat Poland.

Britain may have an initial advantage logistically with British Indian Ocean Territory but even so that does nothing to mitigate the vastly overwhelming numbers on the Indian side, who have a competent enough Navy and air force to at least force a difficult sea battle. Indian invasion lacks the supply lines and can be tracked well in advance on such a long journey. The enemy within would be interesting scenario to model though

If Russia don't have nukes as bargaining chip, then Germany alone could win, probably not conventionally but economically. When Russia intervened in Georgian conflict in 2008, it went into huge recession, among the worse during the Great Recession. Russia would go bankrupt the time it invaded half of Poland.

Cost of that war could be enormous, and you have to remember that a lot of Poles works in Germany but they love theirs contry and they could be a big problem for Germans if it will be a conflict. In Poland that problem doesn't exist. We survived 102 years without our state, we survived Russians, Germans, Austriaks and communists, we could survive anything.

Poland hates the EU? Maybe this is something you can read in german press but this is just plain lie. Perhaps the society has some concerns about EU and want to limit its influence in internal politics/trade but if you ask any Pole with a brain about the EU he will tell you that good relations between EU and Poland are mutually beneficial as well as maitaining an EU concept (with some changes) is something Polish reason of state needs.

Quite the contrary. Since joining the Euro block, Poland's GDP has suffered due to paying interests in EU loans. Poland was doing just fine without it, it was the EU that encouraged them to do so to build up their infrastructure faster, which wasn't needed and they could have done it without the EU.

"What if germany would try to invade Poland?" Yeah, that would be outrageous. Gee, that would be awful. Let's hope that never happens.

German minority had its rights guaranteed by the Small Versailles Treaty Poland was forced to sign. Contrary to Germans, there was no organised nor large-scale ethnic cleansings done by the Poles. The war was unprovoked, the Germans invaded Poland with no formal declaration of war and violating the non-agression pact.

@fernando jose gonzalez olguin Most of them ran away before the Soviets during the war, the rest was resettled into new German borders. It was no fault of the Poles, as half of the pre-war Polish territory was annexed by the USSR and Poles where also forced to resettle. It was the Germans who commited attrocities while trying to colonise Polish lands in order to acquire Lebensraum, not the other way.

You mean the Dutch police. Look I don't even like the current government but Turks are good hard working nation and for the most part secular. Dutch don't even have the manpower to invade and do serious damage to Turkey's most strategical millitary bases placed around the straits. In Turkey millitary service is mandatory hence the army is very cost effective. Can't say the same for the Dutch which is fully professional military (mercenaries). Dutch might have a lot of armored anti-infantry vehicles but their tanks are outnumbered 1 to 120 ( Dutch have only 18 battle tanks vs. MORE THAN 2500) Do you even comprehend that number. >2500! vs. 18. A Besiktas vs. Galatasaray hooligans clash can incinerate the entir Dutch Battle Tank Division with Molotovs. Both forces rely on F16's but Turkey has 4 times what the Dutch have. Total displacement of the Turkish Navy is approximately 260 kt vs 140 kt for the Dutch.

In practise this mean, that if Germany would attack Poland - air chances are equal: DATA German: TORNADO - total 93, working - 66, Full military ready: 29. Eurofighter - 55% military ready. Choppers: Tiger- total 31 - operational -- 11 Data from internet, easy to veryfy.
