This actually breaks down the logic behind arena comps to the fundamental levels giving the people the necessary information to make their own conclusions about a comp/class they want to play not having to rely on copying tier lists and FOTM builds ;p

Hey, I would love a video about how to play against DK. I’ve been playing since classic launch a bunch so I understand all of the other classes pretty well, whether I have played them or not (I have played all to some extent) but don’t feel like lvling a dk. I feel at a disadvantage because I don’t really know what all they do. Something like the how to kill tbc vids. Much love

Nice video I’m a affliction lock n my partner is an demo we play 2v2 YES this composition DONT have synergy. We won a lot but our only down fall where the stealth’s class even with 2 felhunter couldn’t detect fast enough

Not to be THAT GUY but I wanted to get your opinion on an experimental arena comp / Strat I have been putting together. I made a video on it on my channel, TLDR = Its Turbo Cleave (Hpally, Hance, Arms War) but all members are going Heavy on resists since the comp can have +130 to all resists exect Arcane. Testing is showing that Wrath Resists are +66% more effective per point of resist with that translating to (do to linear scaling) Resists = 100 to 130% more effective in wrath. TLDR = If you go resist gear you lose 14% dps do to the loss of gem slots and a few enchants compared to nothing by +20str gems... The gains however are 38% / 44% / 55% spell damage reduction depending on what you are facing and how you gear your resists. For example if its an off resist such as Fire or Frost and the target came with appropriate spell pen of 130 vs your 260 resist, you would be looking at a 20% spell damage reduction pared with basic bitch (season 7) resilience of 22% = 38% damage reduction. Chance to FULL resist a binary spell (like fears and most CC's... aka non-damage all or nothing spells) testing showing is = to the % damage reduction... so 20% reduced damage = 20% chance to resist binary spell. Some spells follow classic WoW double resist check rules aka class NADE rules... such as dispelling Unstable Affliction... where if you fully resist the damage = no silence... but if you take damage you can still fully resist the silence. Arena options are... -14% DPS... -2k HP 264 All resists expect Arcane +100 Specific resists to either Shadow, NR, or split. I suggest all in on Shadow for 364 SR sense even if enemy brough 130 pen you can start cleansing UA with relatively little concern. Note: 130 Resist = 20% Damage reduction at level 80 most likely. Have tested it at level 70 and 103 resist at 70 = 40% reduction up from 24% in TBC. I thinking the arena comps win Strat is to poop on any comps with casters taking what are effectively free wins. TSG will be rampant so I have concerns about who to deal with physical damage heavy classes... TSG is interesting though because DK damage burst is subject to resists, that gargoyle is doing Nature damage and if DK skipped Pen day you are looking at a 55% damage reduction. Pestilence to refresh dots also has a 57% resist chance to say nothing of sacred cleansing. I suspect when they burst we have to go defensive but since they have no purge for BoP, I don't see how the comp isn't surviving the TSG burst and from there it gets a lot closer to 50/50 than I think a team like that would like. Hex will be big counter offensive kill / win condition, assuming MS and raw damage doesn't grind one side of the other down over time.

So what about BM/Destro 2v2 in the first season when people are still gearing? It got great burst the cc does not DR deterrence and health stones are great but lack of heals eh idk

Hey Earpugs, haven’t been able to watch the video yet due to being busy. How would Scooby Doo Cleave with a Resto Druid instead of a Priest healer do? Would you have any advice for a comp like that? That’s my friend’s and I’s classes and we played scooby doo in 2v2 in TBC.

It could work, you will definitely find it hard to kill certain teams without an offensive dispel but it could work.

Nice video - I think this is a great way to conceptualize what is important at a high level. I think my own version of these 4 would be: 1. Pressure 2. CC 3. Survivability (personally I like "Endurance" because it covers both health and mana) 4. Synergy I would put synergy number 4 just because synergy is always going to be based on the other 3, i.e. how does a team synergize Pressure, CC and Survivability? But I would never would have thought to order these 4 things at all without this video in the first place!

Which classes do and dont have interrupts? I remember the only hunter class was MM, but what about other classes? Where can I find info on that cuz I'm not seeing a lot of info on it on the web

Classes with kicks, rogue, war, mage, lock, feral, DK, sham every other class doesn’t have a kick but some have silences or stuns etc.

Thanks for another great video. Would you be open to doing a 2v2 double dps tier list at some point down the line? I've been leveling up my lock and trying to get my buddy to play ele sham but he might just go frost mage. Wondering if destro (or aff) / frost mage in 2v2 would be decent, I am sure we would get run over a lot but it seems like it could be fun to try to CC and burst down some targets quickly.

Mage lock 2’s can work but they both die extremely quickly so if you don’t play perfectly you lose almost instantly vs many teams.
