The issue with sidescraping in russian heavies is the opponent will always get the first shot because the angling hurts the pike nose. Counting on the enemy shooting will not always work because good players will avoid shooting sidescraping players.

What I meant was pike nose heavies like the is7, is8, is3, is5. The 252u is broken because it has the pike nose, yet the pike nose is angled far enough it can still sidescrape.

@@Jack-vd1iv A lot actually; from Face-hugging, side-hugging, putting your gun mantlet into the enemy's gun, Circle of death, timing your reloads, baiting shots etc. The list goes on and on, sidescraping is also a form of brawling sooo he's not that far off

In my opinion, I think all tanks with decent side armour and a non-cone nose front can sidescrape. But when talking about cone nose tanks, I think using the strong turrent, if any, or going head on is more effective ( I mean, that's the purpose of the shape, to be stronger head on).

Thanks Droodles yeah side scraping is probably the single most important skill a noob needs to learn that and going hull down I see time and time again noobs pulling out side ways against 5 tanks ready to send them back to the garage 😁👋

Droodles I think we are constantly using a combination of side scraping and hull down, positioning etc in order to hide our weak spots or exploit limitations in the enemy tank gun elevation etc.

Clearly doesn’t know how strong the bob is he just said it would bounce no the IS7. The bob would penetrate any tank no matter how angle their armor it still is better than all modern tanks despite being created in ww2.

That first team is what I get on greens game after game. Which is why I cannot understand how people can maintain unicum status when that is the norm, not the exception.

All thanks to the 2 and 3 cal rules, the ISU 152 w Bl 10 and the deathstar can maximize both rules due to their large calibers

E75 is very good to side scraping

I always prefer reverse sidescraping with the IS7 bcoz as soon as you angle the front of the tank, people can easily penetrate if like nose bcoz its flat for them even with standard rounds sometimes. Also, because the turret of the IS7 is front located, I can keep my turret and my gun out the entire time without even having to move. The IS4 is perfect for sidescraping bcoz u literally can bounce from any part of the tank The IS line is built for sidescraping and people say that Russians can't sidescrape

Imo, sidescraping is effective with turret placement. On most russian tanks, where the turret is at the front of the tank, you must expose more part of your tank to get a shot, so that is why they are more effective at reverse sidescraping.

I once reverse side scraped in an IS100/122 in New bay and bounced 2k damage and did 2.4k damage.

Sidescraping really increases how well you do no matter what tank you're in med, heavy, td as long as you have ok side armor but im too lazy doing it i just like to brawl which obviously lowers my wr and damage but sidescraping is boring

Get behind the wall, aim at your target through the wall, turn your hull to the pont where you cannon is above the drivewheel, go back and forth or just stay until your opponent shoot and bounce you, drive back and shoot. Repeat. The easiest way to get the correct angle. Just watch out for other enemies. and it's only work if your tank is center turreted. i don't of if it's woks with the back turret tank. Enjoy your sidescrape and bounce a shit load of shell. Also watch out, to not sidescrape in front of a gun which is easily overmatch your side.

Although I agree that sidescraping is one of the easy skills that are hard to master, skilled players usually avoid sidescraping opponents, or if they encounter one, they shoot HE. It's the same for hulldown. But, I do think that sidescraping is really good. Btw, Droodles forgot that with reverse sidescraping, you can bounce shells and shoot at the same time, without moving.

If ur sidescraping in an is7 u have to hide the pike nose behind the wall and only expose ur strong sides. Only exception is the obj252 since the upper plate is angles so extremely. But never do it if the enemy’s gun caliber is more than twice ur side armour.

For anyone wondering... if you try to side scrape against larger caliber guns they are more than likely gonna shoot he at you. Don't worry though because if they shot u with he it just means that you are sidescraping correctly :)

sidescraping at low tiers is very troll because there are tons of new players that just shoot you even though you are sidescraping. I think WG shuld teach new players about the playstyles like sidescraping. :)

Please do a vid on playing the vision game, not a scout or bush sitting game, how to use your vision range and your stealth or camo value and the terrain or map fixtures to your advantage be you in a medium tanks, heavy tanks, or Tank Destroyers not just the light tanks, could you please show how you leverage vision, camo, and terrain to deal with the enemy tanks. I think players don’t understand that you can use medium tanks and even TD tanks to scout but if you leverage vision camouflage and what cover or there lack-of-it (energies side this being range aka sniping) to your advantage to/can be both active and a much better player, a win win situation and before I go it increases your chances of winning even if your the last-one-alive. P.S. I do understand they must have some knowledge of the maps they’re on a good situational awareness and pay-enough-attention-the-map-icons (everyone’s both enemies and allies (last-known-positions and how-much-HP-they-have and at least a guess at what their doing or where their going again both enemies and allies alike). COULD SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO THEM HOW I’m doing this while still being a low WR, but high ranking player and THEM GETTING KILLED OFF SO EASILY AND ALMOST NOTHING AT ALL?! Please I’m begging here a 7,044 damage done vs a team dead in two minutes of the start expecting me to win against a almost full team (Ok just six tank and most at HALF HP but still hard work for lone tank) while berating me for camping and sniping in a heavy tank (IS8 fully crew skilled and fully decked out bells and whistles and at full health) on desert sands vs a enemy team who did their best and some of them even worked together, p.s. I did eventually win but had leverage all that my tank, crew, and what cover or in my case the lack-of-it and general knowledge of it plus a lot of intelligent guesses, and I’m a cheater and poor showmanship!! An you wonder why I don’t play top tiers anymore with frienemies like these who wouldn’t !!!

Sorry for ranting and for dump this on you but your the best play through strategy guide tutorials KZreadr so far in explaining things in a way that maybe players can understand, Bushka hasn’t done a vid in a long time and MartinDogger is good but he really doesn’t explain a lot of details maybe Ska8ter but I haven’t seen much of his videos lately, so I’ve come to the best Tuber to explain to the player base what I mean by I just leveraged vision mechanics and knowledge (experience) and my playing style vs a general idea how to gain advantage over my situation. It would help me and a lot of players to better understand how using vision vs stealthiness, the terrain (bushes, rocks, dips, and range) to your advantage vs camping, and last a situational awareness, knowledge of not just what’s around you but knowledge and a good estimating what can happen in what situations I kid you not a lot of players don’t even understand what I’m trying for them to get !!! Again I really am sorry to dump this on but seeing a perfect team get destroyed and getting so much misunderstanding of these easily good players is almost too much I’d love it if I could direct them to positive advice and not just a tutorial on PC version but a great Blitz proper done by a great master tutorial maker KZreadr !! A sincerely avid FAN and lover of your WORKS !!!!!!

The is7 really can’t sidescrape... any time u pull out for a shot u will get penned, obviously it can work sometimes but it’s not reliable, obviously if ur on like desert sands it’s still better to sidescrape around a corner instead of just peaking

One thing you did not mention too much is that it does work without any cover. You just angle your tank to create same angle as with house in front and hope guy didn't move aim away. American and French tanks cannot sidescrape. no armor on sides. Russian and German are best for it.
