I wish they would included a third head with normal blue eyes, so people could have another opportunity for a classic Thor without breaking the bank.

he won't dude, I did that, he doesn't work as thor, not only are the eyes red and the boots brown, the rest of the colors on him are bland, his skin tone is too pink and bright, his silver paint apps are more gunmetal, trust me, he is not thor

I got my pre-order from Target of Ragnarok in last week. I added the missing paint onto his boots, and I wanted a bit more cyborg-flavor on mine, so i swapped out his left arm for the left arm from the Juggernaut wave Cable. Easy heat-n-pop swap and fits very well. Musculature is different from the other arm, but I can overlook that as being just the cybernetic limb free of flesh, whereas the flesh over top the cybernetics would make up the rest of the musculature.

This is why I tune in for your reviews, I had no idea the spinning effect actually spinned! Ive had the figure for 2 weeks taking photos.

I don't have the 80 years Thor but I can still use Ragnarok as a regular Thor besides the fact he has red eyes instead of regular blue eyes and that he is a clone, In my opinion he does look cool with the spinning hammer effect. Awesome review Shartimus.

I honestly only bought this for the spinning hammer effect, and honestly I think it was worth it. It blows the Marvel Select version of the same effect out of the water IMO

I missed out on the 80th anniversary figure but this looks amazing for a replacement! The 80th anniversary figure now brand new is around 80$ which is insane, but this is only 30$ with more accessories but with red eyes which is not that much of a loss

I never got the 80th Thor and I've been dying to have a classic Thor for my Marvel heroes shelf, so I was very happy to see this guy. All I had to do was paint in the eyes on the regular head and bam, I've got my classic Thor. Not thrilled about having to pay the deluxe price, but that's way better than what the 80th Thor is going for these days! And the spinning hammer is awesome! But I gave that to my MCU Cap figure, haha, take that Thor!

The wings on both heads are different. You forgot to do a side by side to compare them.

I’m kinda miffed that the hammer spinning hand isn’t interchangeable. Other than that this is a pretty cool figure. I love the Terminator vibes.

It IS interchangeable.....if you have another hand to replace it. I swapped it onto my 80 Years Thor.

I’ve heard that the plug is different than the normal hands. That you have to heat it up to remove it, and file down the end to make it swappable. Honestly It would be easier to just put the 80th Thor head in Ragnarok and call it a day. I wish Ragnarok had the same boot paint apps though, Thor’s look way better.

@@ElGordoBandito the plug is slightly different, but nothing too hard to deal with. Just stick it under some hot water for 30 seconds and pop it out.

Im hoping to see a new comic bearded Thor this one was wasn’t set on , just to change the look up , and a 20 years anniversary ultimate cap.

Very, very cool figure, and the spinning hammer is why I got this one. My only complaint is that the spinning hammer is so heavy, that's it's hard to keep the figure standing upright. Other than that, it's the coolest Thor I've ever owned.

Does spinning hammer effect work on 80-years Thor?

How does Thunderstrike’s skin tone match up to Ragnarok? From pictures they look pretty close so you could use the fisted hand from Thunderstrike for Ragnarok.

Not a huge fan of repaints, but I did order this one when target had one of their spend $x get $y off things and am actually quite happy with it. The newer things are decently done. Not having the black on the leg wraps is very lazy though. I think more characters need red eyes, I do like them.

Really wanted to get him when I saw him at target. I took a loss, I really wanted the spinning hammer affect.

Awesome video and I have to comment on your new approach. It is appreciated. Objectiveness sometimes results in negative instigating replies that harm. If anyone missed out on the 80th Ann - this is the Thor you want, if you are into the classic Thor look. Hasbro did a fantastic job with the accessories. I'd like to make a comment about the Brand manager's selection. Obviously this buck is perfect for Thor and it should be used - but for a version of Thor that was in one event superseding a Walt Simonson (in full armor) or a vintage King Kirby (with no uniform under his arm) or the young Thor from The God Butcher, would have more significance, and with the movie coming out, perhaps generate more revenue. And at $50 CAN$ Ragnarok doesn't hold that much of a significance to this Thor fan.

No way I had it in my hands today but thought it was an old figure😭

For me, I didn't get the original Thor figure and with the alt head and spinning hammer. It definitely has more appear for those in that camp. On its own it's not a bad body so you can excuse it not having all the modern attributes. I think they could have painted the eyes and left the red eyes for just the robot head. Now I can pair him up with the robot head of the Marvel Select Hulk. Ragnarok is closer to $32. With Mafex Thor coming out next year. If you really want a more definitive classic Thor, that's probably the figure to get(assuming it's worthy of its price point). Still it's messed up Reed and Tony faces zero lasting consequences for creating this guy and killing Black Goliath. Thor basically schooling Tony on reminding Thor is literally a God is still a very great issue.

Hell yeah this is the figure I'm looking forward too!

cause making a new mold is expensive, so they try to reuse it as much as possible until they can get their money back

The 80th anniversary Thor was $25 when it released over two years. They put the same figure in a deluxe box and are now charging $35 - $40. It's $45 on Amazon. They could have at least added the regular head from the 80th anniversary. These price hikes have made these Legends not worth the money.
