WORTH THE HYPE? AMEER AL OUDH INTENSE by Lattafa vs Majd al Sultan & Raghba Wood Intense

Hi guys,
I'm sure you've either heard or even tried Lattafa's Ameer al Oud Intense Oud cause it's a very popular fragrance in the fragrance community. I finally decided to try this beauty and today I will share my thoughts about it. Also I will compare it with Majd al Sultan and Raghba Wood Intense and I will let you know if they're similar or not and which one I would recommend you.
Have you tried Ameer al Oudh? If you have let me know how you feel about it, I would love to know ❤️
*Oh and by the way, don't let marketing fool you, this is not an "intense oud" fragrance, so don't be scared to try it! To me this is a safe blind buy and the oud is there but it's not challenging. It's a fragrance that's worth having in your collection if you enjoy sugary vanilla oud fragrances.

    This is my favourite vanilla scent! On my skin it is a smokey vanilla. It starts out like burnt wood and then as it develops it becomes sweeter and the vanilla comes more through! I have Majd al Sultan based on your recommendation and I love that as well, however I find it very different. Majd is a sweet incense smell, like the burnt sweet incense in a church, whereas Ameer is like you have been camping roasting marshmallows that have been burnt on the wood.

    This fragrance is sweet but not gourmand. I don’t like gourmands and when I smelled this for me it’s crack to my olfactory bulb and unipolar neurons lollll. It’s amazing, has a peek a boo type of projection. Surprises you when you don’t think you smell anymore. I suspect it has Iso E Super or Timbersilk, like molecule 01. The atomizer is great and it’s easy to get carried away with the mists but, it’s not cloying in my opinion. Not even in the tropic. Even though I don’t care personally. Great, great fragrance. Raghba reminded be a great deal of it but comparing them, they have something different. At a point, the fragrance reminded me of something syrupy like maple syrup, then that phase went away. I can very much feel the subtle Oud, great deal of vanilla, sugar, not caramel but SUGAR, like… as if it were mixed with spices like cinnamon and roasting chestnuts or almonds, and gives away an aroma. I’m telling you, if somebody orders this and doesn’t like It I’ll dislike the person in my subconscious lollll. Amazing. I need a backup. Soon.

    I will try this. I really like your honest opinions! I bought Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe. The most opulent, exquisite scent and after wearing it for weeks I cannot imagine a life without it. Upon the very first spray it stunned me as probably the most opulent, exquisite scent. It isn't a sport fragrance. But when you have cleaned up and depending upon the amount applied it wears anytime, anywhere, unisex, and any season. opening with fantastic cinnamon & saffron,leveling off with caramel and patchouli, and continuing into an embracing amber vanilla.... Damn! Thank you "A Fragrant Glance"!

Yes, it absolutely has that slight "rubbery" scent that Badee al Oud has and is NOT nearly as sweet as most reviewrs say it is. last Friday I was lengthy complimented by two ladies on the underground transportation of London. Guess what was i wearing? Yes Raghba oud Intense (ROI) ; Divine was the word the lady said. ROI is really beast mode fragrance that stays for days on clothing. I own Kalemat from Arabian-Oud which i found similar to Raghba oud intense with slight intensity and depth in the later . As for Ameer Aloud i do agree although it sets next to the skin but it has this extremely pleasant Caramel vibe that lingers longer time. thank you for the effort on the review .

    Thank you so much for this review. I bought "Ameer Al Oudh Intense" after owning "Raghba Wood Intense" for a few months and it is just too much incense, not enough vanilla. "Ameer Al Oudh Intense" is much more calm and not beastly. I love to use it for layering with other fragrances to give them the vanilla they are missing. I cannot do that with "Raghba Wood Intense"...it is far too much incense. I am thankful for "Ameer Al Oudh Intense" in that manner and have ordered a backup bottle. For concealer I used the Boys N Berries Liquid Corrector in the shade Banana, it's a yellow toned corrector that I use it as a concealer cause the shade suits my skin very well. For powder I used the Revolution Pro Loose Powder in the shade banana mixed with translucent. The eye palette used if from Too Faced, their Chocolate Gold, I've used the mattes shades ❤️ Hope it helps

    I don't get the smoky bonfire smell. I grew up with campfires and burning wood for heat in the winter in a very cold and snowy land. I don't get that smell. It is ok but I was expecting By The Fireplace.

    I don't get that smoky vibe from Ameer al Oudh as well. Oh I know the smell you're referring to, to me that campfire smell reminds me of going on hikes in the mountains in the late autumn ❤️ I should look for a decant of By The Fireplace

  • @AFragrantGlance

    @AFragrantGlance

    Hard to say, all three smell very different. Raghba smells nice but it's too soft for my liking, as for Oud Mood & Ameer al Oudh - I feel the same about both even though they're different scent wise. My favourite one is Sheikh al Shuyukh Luxe by Lattafa (similar to Oud Mood but richer & deeper), this used to be a signature scent of mine. Thank you for watching! 🌹❤️

    Thank you for watching! ❤️ Personally I prefer Ameer al Oudh Intense to Raghba. Raghba smells beautiful as well but it's quite soft and intimate. I'd say get the one you seem to resonate with the most, if you enjoy the DNA of By The Fireplace then go for Ameer al Oudh Intense Oudh, if you enjoy more of a warm vanillic slightly waxy sweet scent with slight incensy soft woody nuances then go for Raghba. Let me know your thoughts on them if you decide to try them ✨️

    @@AFragrantGlance Thank you! ❤️ I just ordered Ameer al Oudh intense and also Shagaf oud, Shagaf oud Aswad. I usually always choose gourmand perfumes but I wanted to try something different. I'm very curious. Unfortunately in Italy there are no shops where you can find these perfumes, only blind buy. You are very good and your videos are addictive. ❤️ At the moment I have a very long wish list 😂 Which gourmand Arabic perfume do you recommend for winter?

    Depends what you enjoy in general, to me Ameer al Oudh is better but keep in mind I don't really enjoy Raghba Wood Intense, to me it leans a tad plasticky. If you want an even deeper darker scent then go for Majd al Sultan, I received amazing feedback for it. Thank you for watching ❤️

    Hi, thank you for watching ❤ Personally I prefer Qaa'ed by Lattafa to Midnight Oud by Ard al Zaafaran but that's just because I find Midnight Oud a little bit harsh to my nose. They're different enough to have both, but if you only want to get go for Qaa'ed if you enjoy spices, incense and leathery oudy nuances 💫

  • @AFragrantGlance

    @AFragrantGlance

    Thank you for watching ❤️ Depends what you like in general, I enjoy both, both are beautiful & very different to each other, Oud Mood has a more pronounced traditional middle eastern undertone to it while Ameer al Oudh doesn't have that traditional middle eastern feel to it. I enjoy Oud Mood but prefer Shaghaf Oud to it as it's much stronger. Ameer al Oudh works amazing as a base for layering with other fragrances

    hi so i bought this and all I'm smelling is smoke. no sweetness, no nuttiness, no green touch, no oudh, nothing but smoke. should I perhaps let it macerate? i feel like it might not have been given enough time to mature since it's been rapidly produced in the factories. any help on this would be much appreciated.

  • @AFragrantGlance

    @AFragrantGlance

    Жыл бұрын

    Thank you for watching ❤ Test it for a longer period of time and give your nose time to adjust to the scent, sometimes it takes more time to perceive other notes in a fragrance If you come by one particular note that maybe you're not used to it or it's in a higher dose than what you are used to, then it will overpower all the other notes until your nose starts to get used to it. I get a soft smoky touch as well but to my nose it's more sweet, sugary & oudy woody than smoky. I've seen improvments when I Iet it sit for a while, the sugary aspect got more nuanced and now it smells like sweet cristalised sugar with oud and dry woody nuances. Also you could try to use this one as a base and layer it with something vanilla heavy to bring out the sweetness. Hope it helped 🌠
