Im pretty sure Imada-san figured out Steven was left handed when he poured the sake. And that's why the nigiris are placed differently for him, facing sw->ne. And the only reason they do this is because it's the easiest for the guest to grab it. The level of service from Japan makes me envy their eye to detail so much. Taking so many mental notes.

dude this place cost u 15,000 yen an hour just to sit there....im pretty sure theres a reason why sushi san's customer service and human interaction skills are in a class of its own.... in regular dining places, u punch ur order into a vending machine, insert ur money and the worker places the bowl of ramen in front of u, yanks down the bamboo curtain leaving u to eat alone inside a 8 by 8 cubicle.
did i just spend 2 hours rewatching worth it episodes i've already seen before? yes. any regrets? no.

Dude, I was watching all these episodes a couple years ago. I suddenly was like what were those food shows that compared price points of food with those two guys, and found it again, and reliving these shows again, even though I watched them before, they are just great entertainment and make me want to enjoy the food they are enjoying. Yup exactly, I don't care for Buzzfeed really at all but this show is great. It's very similar to The Wonton Don having his own channel separate from Barstool Sports. Highly recommend checking out that channel if you like travel stuff. But it's definitely a lot more of a degenerate show lmao. That's what gives it such charm. I'd start with the video of Donny trying to sneak beer into a Shanghai Sharks game. It's hysterical. Worth It, The Wonton Don and Parts Unknown are all I need for travel shows. Each are the GOATs of travel shows and each has their own unique tone depending on what you're in the mood for. Highly recommend all 3.
All of the Japan eps really bring out so much emotions from Adam What I really love about these food is how attentive the chefs are. It's not only about expensive ingredients but like the sole purpose of bringing out the best of the flavor that Japanese cooking is centered around is just amazing. LOVE this marathon!!!

Well Japan is 2nd place next to France (1st) with the most Michelin starred restaurants. Also, Japan is notable for its great passion for work.
33:36 “WHAT a great question!” That’s the kind of person you want to eat cake from; The kind of person that gets ecstatic and joyful just because someone asked a thoughtful question about their craft. ❤️❤️
I was happy watching him make that omelette and fried rice. I wasn't even there. I hope he is truly happy, what a wonderful man. 👍

The Theobroma chocolate cake is truly the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten. I went to Japan a couple years ago and visited some of the places from Worth it Japan series. Coffee shops in Japan are my everything. I love the coffee (it's more bitter than sour, and they make super rich lattes.) and I generally love studying at cafes. Coffee shops in Korea are nice too, but Japan has been my fav so far.
The way Rie smiled on cam when she fed Adam. Worth it.

shanes voice always surprises me during the cookie episode lol it’s like a fun surprise
Love the commentary episodes, and behind the scenes looks. Also, those Japan episodes were great!!! Well all worth it episodes are great, but you get what I mean.😂 Anyway, can’t wait for the interview with the chef, and see Andrew recreate things.🙏🏽🙏🏽
that bento is crazy expensive but really done with love, btw (bento fact!) it is also a symbol of love. for Japanese people, bento is package of love, when someone send or packed u a bento, the detail & intricacy shows their love and appreciation towards u, so u can go out do your work & study and during your break you can enjoy the healthy, beautiful lunch that your loved one pack for you to ease you of your struggle till you comeback home. ❤
Rie's sheepish little "Cookie??" remark in that episode always makes me smile
Who else is listening to the Yunessen fact after watchig Saf's Japanese Spa video? LOL. I literally went, "I knew that fact already!"
When Andrew says “eggs, not just for babies and old people anymore” kills me everytime

Oh man, I've seen these episodes SO many times, I'm happy to watch it with additional commentary!!!
that kyubei shop was awesome, and the chef seemed the most kind person ever.
Japan is on a whole other level for pretty much everything. With the school teacher coffee he has figured how to change the flavor slightly and the profile of the coffee by grinding the beans differently. In America coffee shops just have 100 different coffees to choose from so they don’t have to really take the time to learn to process in any different way.

Hahaha! Love how Adam stops smiling dead in his tracks just before eating his ramen when he realizes the camera is on him. 😂

I've watched this a couple times, and ATE is truly missed. This particular series is the non plus ultra series.

I love how in the Japan episodes it’s not all about gold and caviar in the expensive dishes. The price really reflects the quality as I see it.
"I found a cat....." Still my favorite moment. I too like to befriend stray cats. It's the best!
the guy in the second place in the egg video looks like he has so much fun with his job!
Unfortunately, many of these restaurants have been closed. The first shop, Rinrin, has been closed due to the sudden death of the owner.
Strawberry shortcake next!!! Such a staple in Japanese cafés ;) And thanks for this video. I love it! Next time in Japan, I'll try to go to the $$$ sushi place. Loved that guy!
I miss this series so much lol, so fun. Me + my friends literally went to R.O. Star when we saw the coffee ep bc we studied abroad near baba
Who else grabs a plate of food before watching Worth it for the sake of watching the episodes without going hungry or drooling?
2024 and this is still my favorite series
When they ate the Soba and he said "they're perfect for slurping" all I could think about was Todoroki eating his soba in the background of almost every manga panel
Japanese food really captivates me. Just the care, style, and personality that go into them is just awe-inspiring.I think out of all the dishes, there's 3 that I really want to try someday: actual ramen, not just noodles and broth like a broke college student; hotpot, especially for how it brings people together; and sushi. I think I had a vegetable or imitation crab California-style roll once, but it was just one, and all the way back in 2014. I've eyed pre-packaged sushi in the store before, but it's always spicy, and I'm at the spice tolerance level where ketchup burns a bit, but I still eat it. Someday, I hope to fulfill my food dreams.

The wonderful layering of favors in the broth through the noddles through the soup make ramen so fabulous and a must have meal. Everytime. All the time. Love ramen.
as far as the egg episode goes- a lot of tamagoyaki recipes call for mirin (rice wine used for cooking), and if you can get it where you live, add a teaspoon or so to your scrambled eggs. you'll never go back.
i find it so cute and sweet how they feed their friends
so theobroma has a few partner cafes around japan- delighted to see something on here ive actually tried! (i mean, i've tried pablo but that's like a mall shop so who cares lol). that theobroma cake is honestly transcendent.
In the ramen one, I admire how the former owner, instead of resting they’re working.
