That poor dog's owner should be in jail for animal abuse.

This makes me so sad. In my opinion, the owners should be charged with animal cruelty and the dogs removed from their home. This poor dog doesn’t even have enough strength to react to what you’re doing.

I agree with you on that how would the owner like it if they didn't have enough strength to do anything and somebody let their hair get all matted same difference

How do they treat one dog and not the other one? What would happen if the groomer hadn't reached out to them to offer to help this one?! I started scratching just watching the poor dog. Why get an animal if this is how you're going to "take care" of it?

😢 fleas..uhhg couldn't imagine what so many animals go through y'know? Luckily we have humans who love enough to treat them to feel better. Ear mites, fleas, ticks, furr matting in long haired cats, skin damage from infections or long matted hair or just unlucky skin conditions. Just wanna be able to help them all.

I've seen too many dogs like this in my own grooming business that it has become too difficult to watch. It just breaks my heart.

You can see how itchy he was, every time you sprayed on an itchy spot, the back leg would start scratching. I was given a chihuahua puppy many years ago, it was night time, when I had a good look at her in the light, I was shocked to see hundreds of fleas crawling over her. I immediately gave her a flea bath and dried her in front of the heater. I had puppy formula and she was lapping. Next morning I had to bath her again, hundreds more fleas. I also sprayed all dog areas. Great advice, I hope they follow your advice.

Thank you for being so kind to this poor little dog. I could tell you were upset for it, but you did the best you could for it. You gave it some relief from its suffering.

I'm always curious about the owner. I understand life has ups and downs. But when I see a neglected dog. There need to be a home inspection.

The owners of this dog will have to de-flea their home and dogs kennel and bed. You are very kind to treat this dog over and above. With the cost of de-flea treatment and everything over the cleaning and treatments you get a tax write off. Lady you are a gem.

Our old dog was an Akita/Sheppard cross and she went missing for 6 months (stolen). When we finally got her back she was covered in fleas and we also had to worm her as she was pooping tapeworms. We had to shave her down because she was so matted also. We treated her and any areas that she favoured with flea treatment. The point is, we took her to the vet and found out she is allergic to fleas and had to get special cream to help heal her reaction to fleas. Apparently most dogs are allergic to fleas. So glad you groomed this dog. She must feel so much better.

When you have a flea infested dog, and you give the dog a flea and tick bath, wouldn't there be flea bites that still itch?

Yes it just kills the fleas I normally do an oatmeal bath after to help calm the skin

If the owners let their pets get that flea infested, I doubt they will make the effort to clean the house or fumigation the yard...😢

Very difficult to get rid of fleas, Once you have them in the house, the eggs will hatch regularly and there will be newer infestations,

PLEASE WEAR GLOVES WHEN SPRAYING THE FLEA TREATMENT. THAT STUFF GOES RIGHT THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR KIDNEYS.

I took in a rehome 4 month old cat, within 48 hrs all my other cats were scratching like crazy, so I dosed them all with Capstar and it went mental in my house, I ended up having to bath 6 cats , the fleas on the new cat was HORRENDOUS, sitting still the cat was moving I swear I have never seen fleas like it, Dammit now I am scratching!!! I did end up having to spray my entire house with a strong flea pesticide, not sure if you get it in the states but here in the UK we use Indorex spray

These dogs need preventative meds for fleas and ticks.

The dog will be going home to a flea infested home. He looks dehydrated and is likely anemic from the fleas. Disgusting.

She has reported previous issues, and nothing was ever done. They say that the owner is fixing the problem by bringing their dog to Marybeth . She has tried many times.

I have a 12-year-old poodle he is skinny he has gone to the vet they just get thinner as they get older and he eats both dry and wet food sometimes they just get skinny and sometimes their skin sags so why do you judge people you shouldn't be judging his owner yeah he had fleas but you put flea stuff on him hopefully they'll do the yard again tell him to put Sevin dust out and stop judging people

It takes a while for dogs to get this infested. The owner clearly doesn’t prioritise their dog’s health. There is no excuse. If people can’t afford to get a pet treated properly then people shouldn’t own pets.
