The number of times my friends and I would do the “Part of Your World push up” on the edge of the pool is numerous.

I totally wonder about my ancestors all the time. I wonder who's talents I inherited, who has the same toes I do, and if I have any throwback characteristics that haven't appeared in my bloodline for decades or centuries. I wonder what they were really like, what they did on May 14th at 3:07 PM, what they liked about themselves, and who their best friend in school was. I wonder all of that. This soap is beautiful. I'm glad you go the extra mile to use the fragrance no matter how much it misbehaves.

"who has the same toes I do" 😂I loved seeing this, because yesterday I was wondering about fingerprints! From what I understand, fingerprints are genetically passed down, but it's how we grow and form that causes them to be different. I was lookin at my fingerprints yesterday wondering about ancestors, and how far back could we go and still see the same base on our hands.

Absolutely did play mermaids in the pool.

BESTIES. I have to tell y'all this because no one else understands. My niece's chemistry class made soap in class. Great activity, right? YOU'D THINK. Goggles were mandatory but NO. OTHER. PPE. WAS. REQUIRED. kids got burned. Like...what the cuss?! I was livid. My niece was explaining how it was lye water etc etc...I was like, yeah! I know! KATIE. TOLD. US. THIS.

I think about my ancestors and lineage so often!! I sew, as does my mother and grandmother, and almost every time I sew (especially by hand) I think about every single woman in my family who has sewn before me--likely every single woman that came before me, all the way back to Eve. I love that I get to be connected to all the women who made my life possible by doing what I love, and I am so grateful for the knowledge they have passed down through the generations to me! And for the QotD--I didn't play mermaids very often, but I was obsessed with the Warriors cat books and my favorite clan was Riverclan, so my friends and I pretended to be amphibious cats every single time we were in the pool!

This fragrance is definitely worth the effort when you get a smell of it. I have it in a sugar scrub and it smells amazing.

Re: ancestors; yesterday evening we went to visit two 5000 year old grave monuments called Hunebedden, which are huge boulders stacked together that used to be covered in dirt. They are only found in a relatively small area in the east of the Netherlands. Sadly they have all been excavated to be just bare stones. They are impressive, and we saluted our ancestors from 5000 years ago before leaving. So yes, sometimes I do wonder about the people who came before us :D
