How well does it work as a cheap replacement for something like the Ken Onion knife sharpener?

Wonder if the work sharp belts fit?

Would this work for casual sharpening of 440 (and likewise) steel knives?

Basically a Ken onion work sharp but 1/5 of the price by the looks of it

haha the size of the motor vs size of belt, scale that up and it would be widowmaker II

Alls well its a beast. I work in a tool room and such a thing is a delight .

as a bench grinder it's obviously shit but as a knife sharpener, hell yeah. this looks awesome! Just to find different grit belts and it's perfect!

Comedy. Jolly good. Tools for the tiny handed. 😁

Small belts like that heat up fast.. I think it needs a water cooled platen
