Great review I'v just brought this model and it works great, how ever you will need a course belt or two around 60/80 which does not come in the box.

In your own experience, would you considere this mini belt sander suitable for grind an unsharpened tool? (I’m thinking on a shovel with a very thick blade) 😅

It is possible, but of course it will take more time than in a situation with a knife.
do you prefer this over others setup that use stone? like others tht u review

this is not smart comrade. do not do this. this is not how to sharpen knife, this is how to destroy knife. i would never use this on a knife unless the knife was 1. damaged and needed to be regrinded and 2. i knew what i was doing, for example the right abrasive, the right pressure, and how to not overheat the steel and ruin it entirely. if you want to sharpen a knife on a basic level, get a small stone and a strop, load with compound. for instance a DMT DIAFOLD. then you can use a wooden paint stir stick with 3 um diamond to finish it. or get a real whetstone. like a shapton pro 1k. What is the issue with this method? It removes too much steel. it makes the steel too hot. it's too easy to damage or change the knife shape. it's very easy to sharpen a knife with not power tool. kitchn knife is made to be easy to sharpen.

This is a very versatile machine, and this is its advantage, there are other sharpening options that have the advantage of simplicity.
