When I watched Johanna’s live Facebook colour-alongs during lockdown, I used my Staedtler pencils, same as she used. They weren’t the “Design Journey” that Johanna used, just the “classic” pencils, which were my Mum’s ❤ I like the way you did this one. Show how you colour the petals, then finish off camera, come back and show something else like the leaves, then finish off camera, come back and show how you colour another part of the image.

I am totally bed ridden. So I have someone clean for me. But I use to do one or two cleaning jobs a day .

I've been looking at this page since I got this book at the end of November, I'm so in love with this book & all the pages, this page especially. I'm so afraid I'm gonna ruin it lol. I'm mainly a marker girl thou, but I have gotten the Castle Arts Pencils during their Black Friday sales & I got the soft touch 120, the 48 pasteltints & the metallics, to go with my Worlds of Wonder & Enchanted Forest Books. I haven't used water based markers myself, but I dont like how streaky they are, & I've seen some beable to get a nice smooth look where I was shocked to find out it was water based marker, I should get a small pack to try them out, how do you get your water based markers to look so smooth? I really need to start enjoying my pencils more thou, its one of my monthly personal goals this months to use my pencils more. I've only really used em for shading over marker a hand full of times & I did one back ground with the metallics & never again lol. That's why I got the king art gel sticks... I have a couple other sets of color pencils, crayola 100 ct, I have the original Star Joy 72 ct that comes in a hand knitted Roll, I've only used those twice & I've had em for a few years now, before the Gold Edition came out. I enjoyed watching you color this page, gave me a lot of encouragement & motivation to actually start this page like I've been wanting. I've been really enjoying Kameliya Angelkova lately & using marker & a lil pencil. I agree with you on your idea to split up your major cleaning jobs, I have to. I'm almost 37 & I have the body of a 80 yr old lol. I have my everyday chores & tasks, then I do a major cleaning task, scrub bathroom, floors, change bedding, ect. once a day or every other day. It works so much better for me to keep my house clean & not be over doing it. I have tendinitis in my domanat hand so if I over use it cleaning & working, then I can't do the things I enjoy which is cooking & baking, & then my Adult Coloring, Crafting & journaling which is also hard my wrist/hand/arm. I love how your pic turned out. Thank you so much for sharing with us & the encouragement. I could go wither way with the length of your Color Alongs. Whatever is best for you, I appreciate all your time & hard work you do to make & put up these videos for us. I hope you & all your loved ones are doing well. Happy Coloring! Take Care

I don’t know how to make the water based markers not look streaky. I will work on it and let you know if I figure it out. I also have the castle arts. I use them on my next color along and maybe that will help encourage you to use yours. Thank you for your support!

I think I prefer watching videos where the colorist colors a few of one type thing, finishes off camera. Then returns to color another element and finish all similar ones off screen and finishes all in one video. I’ll watch regardless of your format, but that’s just my preference. 😊
