You should definately test the long term effects of bending the phone! i did it once, the phone as fine, a few days later the bottom speaker was not working and the charger was slow, it happens that the flat cable that connected the motherboard to the bottom pcb was ripped of the plug
The silicon material on the back of the phone is far from durable. It's going to just flake away after a few months of use and if left in sunlight for short periods of time, it's going to dryrot and flake away also.

@@mewtwosdad2230 Up until recently it's been doing well, but during the past month or so I've started having some display issues. Xiaomi's claim of the 12S Ultra having the "first 1 inch sensor in a smartphone" is fake. SHARP, the japanese company, released their SHARP Aquos R6 with a 240hz display and 1 inch sensor last year.
@AndrewGillard
Жыл бұрын
Sony have their recent "1 inch sensor" smartphone, too. But apparently Xiaomi's claim with this phone is that it's the first with a "1 inch" sensor _that was designed for use in smartphones,_ whereas the Sony phone uses a "1 inch" sensor that was designed for standalone/dedicated cameras and that Sony shoehorned into a smartphone. Perhaps the same is true with Sharp? No idea whether "designed for smartphones" actually makes much difference, though! I'm just going off a recent MKBHD video about this Xiaomi phone, anyway. Seems largely pointless and just creating more waste. Any device using a Qualcomm chip gets 2 years of support then it's end of line. Perhaps if someone made a mod system like Moto mods and supported it for 10 years it would make sense as you could invest in the optics.
@alextutorials

You're all in for it and i respect it but it's such a big waste of space. You get 4 cameras on other phones with half the size of that Xiaomi one and yeah you may say the main camera has a 1 inch sensor which is great but a big waste that is unappealing in my eyes. Not only the camera itself is unappealing but the whole phone cuz it's like an alien's eye in the back of your phone...
