Heartsteel members & characters in order of appearance: - Cal Scruby (Kayn/Rhaast) - Baekhyun (Ezreal) - ØZI (Sett) - tobi lou (K'Sante) They sang live but has some backing vocals I believe, plus an effect to make Cal's voice lower for Rhaast. For the animated visual effects/characters, the crowd can only see them on the screens at the side of the stage. For effects that go over the crowd, the crowd gets to see pyrotechnics but the effects are only shown on screen.

The CGI effects can be seen by the audiences on the screens. There are other videos recorded by fans who were there.

They look uninterested because they're professionals who trained for a decade to reach the finals and that's more important than a song.

They're using something called augmented reality (AR), you're watching the toons on the video stream but the people in the crowd can't see it with their eyes, they did have the same thing we saw on the stage screens tho. If they had glasses or some camera app they could see that stuff live but that's probably a lot of work.

React to the Worlds 2019 Opening Ceremony. The animated visuals are visible to the crowd live, not just on screens, btu physically visible. It will blow your mind.

the animation is not visible to the crowd in live. they can only see the animation via Screen on both side of the stage. and It's called "Augmented reality" fairly old technology but Riot utilized it in their Wolrds Opening

riot is working with AR. yes its live but you need a devise to see them. now this year i dont think they had the stuff (glasses) like prior years and just had screens around so the people there could see them. there are fan recordings that show the screens but i dont see anyone with the glasses like from i think 2017. now everyone had their phones up so maybe they had a app for them too but they havent done the "behind the scene" yet for this year. it has only been a day.
