No joke you did great almost snatching what normally would be a victory from the jaws of defeat, but yeah, I hate those open battle with points map, so damn stupid.

Chaff is a perfectly appropriate term and role for state troops. They were about the same cost on TT and clanrats and had roughly the same combat stats as well. And lore wise, sure, they're better than clanrats or bretonian peasants, but only just. They are reasonably equipe professional soldiers is a world of magic and monsters. Their advantage was always in numbers and the empire was one of the larger nations. And those hordes of staunch spears and halberds only really ever held the line long enough for great knights and champions to slay the foe or for might war machines to blow them to bits.

You absolutely cannot outshoot the skaven, gotta get in

I imagine the capture point like some crazy-stupid skryre detonation countdown. I don't know if map makers could add immersive visuals like such, or rituals to be performed or stopped.

halfway through, empire better win this even though they fluffed the landing. Did you spot his (you know who) intervention? it was right here at 11:40 Also Empire won, I mean i saw guys on that objective and also it was not important. Killing rats was always the objective.

would be really nice if CA implemented this as an official mode - just slap a couple capture points on the middle of any number of land battle maps purely to put a stop to the memes that traditionally ruined online multiplayer in TW like draw kiting and corner camping, call the mode 'Conquest' and call it a day

Aww...not surprised at the title considering the factions, but I thought he was showcasing the Modern Warfare mod for the Empire, big sad.

It's results like this that make me question the old school idea of abstract objective capture scenarios. Wargames should really work on multiple objective bases....such as holding the objective and not effectively losing your entire army. Other than that, great show piece!

Ohboi, that ending felt really anti-climactic. I ended up just shouting at the screen...

This is why I am not a fan of domination, the battle could be neck and neck, or one side is about to have a resergence, or could be winning. But then it just randomly ends because of random point conter from holding a random flag in the middle of the field

Normally if one side is STARTING to win but the other wins on points means that the other played the objectives even though had to sacrifice value for it, thats how domination works, its a balance between value and objectives.

it can have anti-climactic endings for sure, but so can regular land battle. Dom can also have crazy epic endings and comebacks that aren't possible in regular Land. there's good and bad with both game modes, just different approaches and styles. ive seen some incredibly epic Domination games, but I generally prefer land battle

I don’t know how this map was made, but including a capture point without showing the capture area seems like bad design. Doubly so since you couldn’t see who owned the point of you looked at it a certain way.
