@@kyracaral1804 well the sequel had all different characters and was so much bigger, stronger, better. Such strong characters like Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, Roosevelt and Hirohito to name a few. I was really rooting for the villains I must say. Still waiting for the 3rd series though. They tried to bring it back in the 60s and even filmed a bit in Cuba but it was ultimately called off

I mean, he was there all along. In "That one where a wizard shows up" Rasputin and the Romanov's mentioned Lenin. Even Wilhelm did at one point. They just never showed him until the third season. It really shows the attention to detail in this series.

Yes, he replaces Nicholas who just vanishes. It makes for a really significant plot twist. And with Vladimir a bunch of supporting characters get introduced, starting a whole new plotline

I like how for all the show they make you think the villain is Whilelm, while in the Last episode they show how the Main characters like Lloyd or Clemenceu are as bad as him But more hided, and with the final cliffanger they made you understand that the former Good victory is actually been ruined by the secret villain of the series: Woodrow Wilson.

Man, it was a great show, i hate how they killed off the tzar. He must've wanted to leave

Actually, this is a re airing, since it was originally titled "The Great War" in the original airings.

I honestly hope they don't kill off this Rasputin character.He seems fun.

I gotta say, season three was when the show REALLY took off. They took some huge-ass risks, killing off Lord Kitchener and Franz Joseph. The Somme and Brusilov three-parters were also pretty cool, but that season-wide Verdun Arc? *chef’s kiss* Easily one of THE absolute best things about the show.

My favorite parts were Battle of Tanninburg, Battle of Somme, Battle of Verdun and African Campaign...

It was never quite as good after Russia left for their spin off. Don't get me wrong, I liked America. But it wasn't the same.

Can’t wait for the sequel series!!!!

What a great series, gotta rewatch it some day

As great as this series was, it kind of ended on a somber note. Nothing so definitive. Now the sequel ended more strongly. Sure not everything was fixed perfectly, but enough to feel like a satisfying conclusion until the next series.

atatürk had a great effect especially on the Çanakkale frontline. with his critic decisions, he managed to stop the english army before they capture ankara, and that made ww1 last a lot longer.

Yasmina la renarde no it wasn’t Germany had already lost by the time American troops arrived in early 1918 the spring offensive failed and France and Britain had begun the 100 days offensive American troop simply sped things up Not to mention the British blockade that starved the Germans to the point of revolution and overthrew the kaiser and led to Germany surrendering. the Uk and France where the MVPs as they spent the most in blood and they where the ones that did all the work winning the war so do some research before commenting just because America was in a war doesn’t mean they where the reason we won did America was irrelevantly the outcome of WW1
