Nebula capsule 3 owner here, portable projectors have so many use cases, camping as example I was watching movies in the tent 😂, Take a bath and watch a movie on the wall, travel with a 120" tv, so many awesome things can be done, thr main issue with these portable projectors is ANSI LUMENS, you really want 2500+ ansi lumens for day/night viewing, well get there, nebula cosmos laser can do it, but its as big as a normal projector

Also... google Nebula Mars 3 - this is totaly outside projector. Huge battery (5,5 hours of video), 40 W Dolby sound, Android TV, Chromecast, water resistant (!) and drop-resistant (!). Usefull handle. You can use it also as power bank and charge other devices (USB-A, USB-C)... Do check it out. I also made video about this projector on my channel - or just google it... 😉

It is very good though. I have a C9 OLED that I've been using since 2020 and side by side the image quality is comparable with a slight bit of SDE on the Qube and clarity loss on fine text. Caveats being it's a bit noisy and you need the right kind of setup (light controlled room) and ideally a big wall to project onto.

At that price it better project a life worth living.

bluetooth audio for me its just too laggy, you may be able to compensate for a video, if there are settings avaible but for gaming? Thats tuff, would be nice to have a audio output, maybe you can use something on the usbc? Would be nice to know

Finaly some great design. It's that little because laser consumes 3 times less than regular DLP. You can then reduce the cooling system and make things smaller. BUT, I find 500 ANSI too few. But the concert is great. I hope they will work on something less portable but with the same design and with at least 2000 ANSI lumens. It' would be PERFECT. For now I will stay with my Dangbei Mars Pro 4k Laser currently costing the same.

Specs I could find states brightness is a not too bright 500 nits or 1700 odd lumens. Even in a 100% blacked out room it’s going to be a bit dim.

Pretty much no specs at all, other than that it’s 4K and has one HDMI input? Is it DLP or 3LCD? What’s the version of the HDMI input? What’s the maximum frame rate of the input signal? What is the input delay in gaming mode? How bright is the projector? Is there any visible laser speckle? How is the focus uniformity across the entire image? How loud is the fan in bright mode and eco mode? Does the projector have a built in battery, and if so, what is the operating time from a full charge? What is the physical dimensions of the projector, and how heavy is it? I’m really quite surprised by the lack of information in this review. Hopefully The Hook Up will get his hands on one of these sometime later and do a proper review.

Love my Yaber K2S. 800 lumens, 2 JBL woofers built in, plenty of inputs, and also a smart Device with Android TV. Much better deal, and i got mine for only $400.

£1049 ($1292) in the UK atm.

I was thinking of giving this as a house warming gift to a friend who just moved/birthday gift.. and got excited went to website and saw the price … n’yeah.

There are 48" tvs that cost more than this. In comparison, it is worth it imo. It's a portable, and the screen size adjustable up to 120".

It bumps up the fan speed so the projector has proper cooling. But be ready for a very loud fan noise.

500 lumens 💀 I have a $200 projector that does 1080p at that brightness. This is like 6x the price. Only worth it for the industrial design.

Laughing at the “high altitude mode” me just living life up here over 10,000’. Guess this one is not for me. Had the same issue with the PS3. Not made to work over 9000’. About 20% of the US population lives above 4000’.

For short, the price is $1300 USD.

I'm having an "old" cinebeam 4k laser projector. Altough it has its flaws. It's been working flawlessly for more than 1000 hours. Colors are amazing, blacks are "meh" but it's very bright and no lamp to change! It's also very quiet.

@unboxtherapy. What is justifying the cost? $1,200 is a lot to ask for "portability." I could go to Walmart and pick up a 50- 65 inch for under $300-400. Samsung's Freestyle 2 isnt 4k but is much smaller and has been price reduced from 800 too $600, and for 1080p, I think thats too much as well. When can we get to a point where a product like this can still be portable and 4k but at half the price. There's just too much of a premium being added to the actual value of such a product. Bring the price down a lot, and I would not be surprised to see such things become a staple product.

500 lumen is not practical in most projector use cases unless you live in a sensory isolated cave.
