This documentary series combines the best of two worlds: love boat-style glam events as well as behind-the-scenes exclusive access onboard the world’s most famous ship, recently transformed into Dubai’s most extraordinary hotel in one of the grandest acts of modern-day upcycling.

It's mid-February and Valentine's Day sees two big events happening on board - a lavish brunch for 450 people in the main dining room, followed by a romantic opera gala dinner out on deck. With the guests paying a premium for both, expectations are high. However, a late delivery threatens to derail the fine cuisine preparations, and - adding to the presage of doom - a storm spotted on the horizon seems set to put the open-air element of the gathering at risk of cancellation.

The 'QE2's most important dining establishment, the historic 'Queen's Grill' is undergoing a significant renovation. The designers are under pressure to deliver. The venue must suit the needs and demands of discerning visitors and tourists. Chef Dino and his staff are on their eighth tasting for the new menu - which still has not satisfied the 'QE2's owners. Issues also arise with the custom-made furniture for the ship's biggest suites, and the arrival of the replacement pieces interferes with a glamorous promotional photo shoot. There is also an inspirational reunion by the 'Hypher' family with many fond memories of what the 'QE2' represented.

Love this ...older man that has been with the ship since the begining shows such pride and perfect attitude to work on such a historic ship.
As a cruiser , I would love to stay on QE2 , doesn’t matter she doesn’t move , she’s done her work Now preserved for all to love and especially now we have lost our Queen ❤
I watched this very entertaining reality program on QE2. I made six transatlantic crossings, first as a kid in 1972, 9/11 Honeymoon and final west transatlantic, among them. Best Liner ever. Great memories watching this. I noted it was filmed in 2020, before Covid. I imagine most of these fine people are now gone, looks like it's managed by Accor now, the French Hotel Conglomorate. I wish them well, see Princess Anne just made a visit. Thanks again for this fun video!
The histories of the QE II and Queen Mary are amazing. They were not only beautiful but they were fast and seaworthy. It is sad to see a ship become land based but I wish her well just as I do for the enterprise. If I every visit Dubai I will stay on the QE II.

House keeping Attendant Issac is original from Ghana and that's the most nicest thing I had from the documentary knowing very well my country man is over there playing his role to get QE2 working 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

SS ROTTERDAM - MEER DAN EEN HOTEL Bij het ss Rotterdam kun je niet alleen heerlijk overnachten, maar het is ook een uitstekende locatie om te dineren, te trouwen of evenementen te organiseren! The ship is located near lots of public transport which will take you to the city center quickly - fantastic and atmospheric location to spend the night when you are in Rotterdam.
Poor old ship , left in such a tacky horrid city. She didn’t deserve that !

As per Indian culture, A GUEST is NOT charged money in return for the hospitality they are given. Calling a person a guest and then billing him/her, later on is CHEAP. 😅🤣😂😂

They don't do that to all the workers....only the construction workers from the poorest countries. I've seen many documentaries about them.....these ones working on the ship have more status are well educated and speak perfect English.

I remember being on the QE as a child and Elton John and his boyfriend sexually abused my younger cousin. My aunt and uncle were both so angry and disgusted Elton and his lawyer and the QE ships legal team made my entire family and housekeeping department sign NDA agreements. I was a minor at the time so I really don’t care. My poor 8 year old cousin has never been the same 35 years later. 🛳️ That ship should be turned in to beer cans and razors blades.

@@TravisGinther They worship money and run on corruption....they go to mosque on Fridays and then drive to places where they can drink and pick up prostitutes. I have friends in the UAE - some of them Syrian and they see all this. I have friends in Saudi Arabia who also told me this and they say they are not real Muslims at all....they just fake it because you aren't allowed to be anything else.
