So so interesting. Very good documentary!!
Mercedes-Benz has lost its way in the last 20 years, however, There are a few standouts. AMG GT, CL65 and SL65. The 12 cylinder monsters are THE MOST smooth power delivery drivetrains I've ever driven. My favorite MERCEDES-BENZ is the CL, it's a huge heavy beast. It's effortless acceleration is just unbelievable to experience. But, like I said MB's dependability has fallen to the Japanese.

Both Italian and British supercars do it for me: the passion (Italian) and the swagger (British) are epic!
I have the following question. In the video, when you show the first car, the Benz, an old video is played which shows the "first" car but in the background clearly showing cars that look more like today's 🤔

@@FreeDocumentary 7:40 they say this is the 1st car but if you look carefully there are other cars in the background. More advanced vehicles nonetheless.
One day, I'll afford one. I might have to wait 20-30 years before I can, but I've got a lot of patience and a lot of things to do.
I find it funny that engine's didn't exist only the parts and some genius figured out how to put them parts together to make the engine and in the old day's none the less.

with all the innovation that the car made, then applied to aspects outside of the car. just think if the mazda with the rotor engine in the 70s, that was banned for being to quick/good. if they didn't ban it. we'd be owning vehicles with 70+ mpg in the every day economy cars.

I rather built a supercar than buy 1, cause then not only would I know how to fix it But it wouldn't cost me everything to own it and maintain it. Even if I had the money to buy a chiron I'd rather have a beater sleeper cause they are so much easier on my anxiety.
Most advanced supercars, procedes to have at least a 16 minute intro on auto wagons and early benz/ford's. Continuously reminding us the fun auto tech is out of our peasant reach 😆
