World's First 3D printed anti tank rocket explained
Many have been wondering how this system works and this video should answer alot of questions.
This video is intended strictly for educational purposes only.
any attempt to replicate this project, without proper licensing, will put you into "club fed" within the United States, or more likely you will be severely injured, and then go to prison.
Do not under any circumstances replicate this project, you have been warned. - D&S Creations
For those of you wishing to have the design, we have no plans to distribute these files, whatsoever. Do not contact us.
If you contact us for files, well send you only the rocket in the far left of the thumbnail.

You can print most of an AR in a few hours or a small antipersonnel rocket shell in like an hour. You can also fabricate one with conventional tools pretty quick, too. It's not like it's difficult
Im sure it’s the first documented
I like how there’s a proper fuze. Also a legit launch mechanism. How is the H motor delayed from burning the operator with the booster charge?

Great video !
Thank you for giving people a reason to fear people who have a 3-D printer for not World War III stuff.
Marvellous design
Not these obviously (as per the description) , but do you guys post your print files anywhere? Would make a neat desk toy
What are you guys using for the launcher tube insert? Did you use fiberglass, steel, etc. I'm just curious because I used steel on mine and didn't know if you found a lighter alternative that withstands the pressure generated from the boost charge. Anyways thats a very clever design. I wanted to have the counter mass, powder charge and rocket all in one apparatus but what stopped me from going about it was the print time. Do you guys lose that countershot sleeve every launch? Most of my pistons survive multiple firings but the countershot container took so much time for each shot that I ditched the idea. Also I dig the fins how they get deployed via the piston. I use torsion springs on my fins and they are very tedious to install
@DandSCreations
Жыл бұрын
The tube is PVC, with a fiberglass overwrap. Future versions will be Kevlar. Our boost charge will only be 25 grams. The entire cartridge is to be shot out the back and any remnants dumped from the tube prior to each shot. They are sacrificial. Torsion springs would be an improvement I believe. We're constantly changing the design until we reach perfection. The hardest part will be getting the motor timing correct. We're experimenting with different ignition methods and compounds to get the fastest ignition possible, without detonating the motor.
Wow ty youtube recommendations, I really need to know about this
Do you guys do computer analysis on your rocket's stability as part of the prototyping process, or do you primarily take design cues off of existing ordnance? If you do analyze on the computer first, what software do you use?

we gettting on the watchlist with this one
Bravo.perfect. go ahead
How well does the shaped charge work, I've never been able to get the standoff distance right in all my test and it always initiates on target rather than before? The safety pin is genius, I've only used a spring to keep tension on the bearing so it doesn't wiggle out and initiate prematurely but that has the con of it is potentially obstructing the bearing used for striking I don't want to rely on arduino for timing and proximity because my goal is 100% 3D printed rocket as well. Also I use a bag of saltwater for the countermass, I drew inspiration from the javelin
3d printed rocket propelled shaped charge? How does the charge get set off at the right distance for the shaped charge? Its on impact but is the charge further down the rocket towards the middle or does its positioning not matter much? Sorry if these are dumb questions, i dont know much about shaped charges
I need to download this Asap
very cool i wonder how good this could be against armor it wont be very good in plastic but if made in metal velocity dosent really matter since this is heatfs

They are inert until Ordnance Lab uses these components to manufacture them into functional munitions. They handle the paperwork.
@sbreheny
24 күн бұрын
@@DandSCreations I am not a lawyer but I was under the impression that even an empty device which is designed to hold explosive is considered a DD (so, for example, if you want to make a hand grenade, you are supposed to file the paperwork before you even make the parts for it). Note how de-milled grenades, rockets, etc. always have something done to them to make them unsuitable for weapon use (such as holes drilled into them).
@DandSCreations
24 күн бұрын
@sbreheny nope, you can buy fully in tact hand grenades, as they are not a weapon. Now the fuse detonator contains explosive so it is controlled. If it was a launcher it needs to be demilled. But the ammunition isnt ammunition unless it contains explosives.
Maybe don't make this information so readily available. Enough intelligence to do something like this, not enough common sense to not share this information with everyone on the internet. @DandSCreations

One part hobby, one part statement, and also to give those who are assaulted by hostile nations the ideas and tools to realize they can probably put up a fight without having to rely on handouts. When I saw Ukrainians making molotoves to face tanks I said, there has to be a better way. These can be fired as rockets but they would be truly powerful as a gravity dropped munition. IE drone dropped. The rocket launched mode it just for the challenge. Seeing what can be accomplished with consumer grade 3D printing.
