So cool to see some of the old projects becoming more efficient and compact. Literally only a matter of time before its completely movie/ show accurate
22:06 I could literally watch this part for hours
I love how their older creations are getting improved and more compact as the time goes on
@apeture_explorer4810
3 ай бұрын
I feel hesitant to say, but I think the earlier models made by the intern were more compact than this one. They were totally self contained, had comparable speed, etc. The major shortcoming was the electronic controller, but the solution here just made another big hip mounted element... They scrapped the spool and made a custom part that was used for variable rope length, but there are practical limitations to the value of rope length in a device like this, and ways to make the rope thinner while maintaining strength to accommodate a more finite spool size too...

@@EightTeens It's...their thing. It is the most important part of anything to them, being French. Just roll with it until a Quebecois starts cussing you out for daring to speak English at them. I used to work for a 18-wheeler roadside tire repair company in a call-center that covered US and Canada. Driver would call in, I'd contact his company to give them options (tire brand options, eta for repair, price, ect). At least once a week, I'd get a call, give my greeting, and hear some French expression and ended call. We were also the designated "after hours" for some city's utility vehicles and such. Meaning that if they had a problem when shops were closed, they could call us and we had a list of who was working that night to contact directly. One of these was Edmonton. One night, one of their workers calls needing a new tire. As we talk he suddenly stops with the information I need and says "Alright, hang on. What is with your accent, bud? I thought I was calling *local tire shop*." I explain the after-hours thing. "Oh, ok. Where the hell are you from?" Me "Well, I'm originally from Texas but our call-center is in Arkansas." Him "I'm dealing with a damn American?!" Me "Could be Quebec." Him "That's...a damn good point actually. Sorry. So anyway, I have a...*blah blah*" /brilliant Hacksmith ep, as always. Just to keep it on topic, lol

@@d34dR0d3n7 I suppose you're right. We are proud to be french. But not everyone writes "I am french" in th beginin of a sentence. Let's not generalize 😜. (The quebec accent always made me laugh a lot, I can't help it, sorry for them 🤣)
I will honnestly say, i was actually surpriced at how well that worked. This is one of those builds that doesnt just mimic but actually match the effect it had on screen! that torque and speed is awesome! keep it up!
Wow what a crazy improvement of the last iterations
When ever you upload one of these it feels like new episode of the mandalorian
These guys deserve more subscribers! No drama, no controversy, just building amazing grown up toys!

If the Hacksmith ever started selling their projects, they would be the most cutting-edge out there. And they would probably be arrested as arms dealers.
That motor and speed controller are absolute beasts in such a small size!
Ian is such a master machinist, I'd love to see him feature more in videos as he explains things so well and has great ideas. This is an amazing project series, well done everybody involved! 🧡💜💚
This series cheers me up after my long school days. It's why I'm studying AP computer science just because these guys are so cool. Awesome videos.

@@paradox2097 Hey I took it a while back, and I thought it wasn't so bad. I failed, with a 2, but the reason wasn't because I wasn't good at coding, it was because I used methods that solved their problems, but we were supposed to be using their methods they supplied on the sheet. Just be careful and watch the clock, use your time wisely, and know that even partially answering a question can get you full points on the question, so use that to your advantage if you are close on time. It wasn't really that hard, honestly. Now I'm serving in the army, and I have my bachelors in computer science, and I plan to have enough money to pursue my masters when I get out. Try your best! Cheers!
"This is the way" ..Head pokes the ceiling 🤣 Amazingly powerfull indeed, scary

Imagine 10 years down the line we have mandalorians just patrolling the world like super soldiers and they just rock
I saw that spyderco at 14:09 😉 (para 3 I think) Ian has good taste in knives
22:22 cant believe weve finally achieved movie fast grappling winch action that is portable
Ian's so quiet and reserved, I will say, it's a nice change of pace every once and a while
That was your best invention yet! I can not wait for the final Mando Suit!

@Hacksmith Industries well, you already know what i want now, dont you? YES A PART 2 OF YOUR ODM GEAR
It's really cool to be seeing some more "advanced" gadgets coming out of this project, especially with the flamethrower and this grappler. Looking forward to seeing more of the powerloader in the future!
22:00 for a second I thought that he was going to pull the power loader, I didn’t think it was that strong
i pissed myself at the beginning when James pulled himself on the floor and went "ahhhhhhhh" it was so funny
These men are singlehandedly creating our future of cool tech
