Nice! I did a video on my trip to Utah and this was one of the places we stopped. I put off roading tired on my skateboard so I could skate in the salt flats lol

J Stevens Thank you. It’s such a bummer that people can’t just wear masks and stay apart. You’ll definitely have fun visiting both next year!!

My husband and I were there,but not during speed week.There's a diner/ convenience store at the entrance that has the walls covered with pictures of the cars that ran there over the years. I could have spent hours there just looking at the pictures.

OMG, love how you had it all to yourself. LOL, so did it work Did you get a breeze every time Guy said “breeze?” You got great shots of the cars. I'll have to add the race to my calendar and try to catch it next year.

I love dispersed camping. It's so incredible to get a spot all to yourself - for FREE! We definitely got some breeze that thankfully got much cooler as the night went on!! The race is so cool. The people are awesome and the cars are amazing.

What beautiful photography!!! My boyfriend is hoping to run there someday, he has gotten past his rookie license and is almost done building his Studebaker land speed car. We go to the El Mirage Dry Lake Bed in California and he is in the Milers Club. If all goes well, we will be there next year at the Salt Flats!!! Thanks for the beautiful preview!!! I bet you didn't get much sleep on the hard ground, though!! El Mirage is really hard, but it is super cold at night sometimes.

Thanks for watching! Loved hearing your story. Sounds so exciting and something great to look forward to for next year. We bought a 4” memory foam mattress and it was the best purchase ever! No hard ground ever 😊

If anybody wants to see racing at Bonneville, plan a trip soon before the mining takes the last of the salt leaving us nothing to run on.

Since the mid 90's the Land Speed Racing community with the help of other racing communities as well as SEMA have been working to try & stop the loss of this amazing piece of history. We slept on BLM land right near there that was on a little bit of salt but it was more like a mixture of dirt and salt. It was amazing, peaceful and best of all no bugs 😁

The salt flats are on my bucket list if y'all would like to see crazy fast you should go to a nhra event 330mph in 1000 feet
