@@tylerredforge5563 true. I play the trombone but Imma learn how to play the saxophone after I graduate college :)) I just got a guitar for my birthday and graduated 5th grade beginner band! SIXTH GRADE HERE I COME! (Intermediate band 🥶)

My ten year old grandson, Anthony, finds this to be inspiring. He will be starting his sax lessons next week. Just got his instrument today, and he is excited.

Gato played "Europa" on a Tenor which is the sound he preferred. Different sound.

I love your smooth rolling style on the Alto... Very well done. BRAVO!!! 🌹🌹🌹 I could listen to you all day, sir... You and Gato are the best with Europa... I'm a bit partial to Gato for this Masterpiece!!! 🌹🌹🌹

There isn't a best sax player. There are too many good players out there. I like the sound of a saxophone period. On this song Europa, I think he's the best I have heard. My opinion only.

@@djoreeyo IMHO, John Coltrane is the BEST tenor saxophonist in the world, Cannonball Adderley, the best alto player in the world. But if we're talking about "LIVING" saxophonist, yeah, it's difficult to say who is the best (because there are so many great players).

I agree with Diana, Gato Barbieri was the best one of all the great ones to play that song(Europa),after all, he was the original that played it and composed by Carlos Santana... with Greg Vail 2nd !

gATO VERSION HAS FOR ME BEST TONE and this work is so stunning you almost cant make it less than Good. Still while good there are too many pauses in here that take away from the smooth lushness and sensual feel the song has built in.

Ascolto spesso questo pezzo e devo dire che Alain Mendoza è verament un grande Sassofonista. Sono un fan del Maestro "Gato Barbieri", del Maestro "Greg Vail", "Candy Dulfer", "Kenny G" "Sonny Rollins" Ci sono tantissimi grandi maestri di Sax. Consiglio vivamente Charley Langer, Gaby Sax, Sandro Scuoppo, Antoine Foster, Luis Fonsi (Graziatto), Papetti, Francesco Cafiso, Coltrane, ecc.... il sax esprime, passione, forza, energia, sentimento.... ho suonato per tanti anni da giovane, suonato in bande cittadine, frequentato il conservatorio.... poi son passato ad altro strumento..... credo sinceramente che nessuno strumento sia in grado di esprimere passione come un sax.... personalmente preferisco il contralto ed il tenore.... ciao.

Honestly I think it depends on your music type, many people think Charlie Parker was the best saxophonist to ever live but im pretty sure/think many can also disagree

@@peterkelly8357 Yes, and that’s just the problem. When trying to reach this “perceived perfection” you speak of people often forget that emotion is a large part of that goal. At least from how I see it. Music isn’t a trade it’s an art. And while I think the trades can often be a form of art, it’s not the same as the amount of yourself you put out for the world to see when performing music. Okay I just reread that and I just want to say that I am sorry for how try hardy I sounded there. I only wanted to say that I agree with you. So please take that as the message I’m trying to send here.
