WORLD RECORD UNEXPECTEDLY SHATTERED BY TOP FUEL NITRO MOTORCYCLE RACER LARRY “SPIDERMAN” MCBRIDE!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Motorcycle drag racing history was made on the pre race testing day of the Man Cup Finals by Top Fuel Nitro Motorcycle veteran Larry “Spiderman” McBride, who shattered his world record by a full tenth with 5.50 at new speed record of 264 mph. The new world records come less than a month after McBride stunned the drag bike racing world with a record run of 5.60 at 263 mph at Rockingham Dragway. Many speculated that we could possibly see a run in the 5.50s at the always fast Man Cup Finals from South Georgia Motorsports Park. No one thought it would be as low as 5.507, and no one saw it coming on the first day of testing. Enjoy this behind the scenes video as we talk with McBride and his crew following this record performance. We also learn of damage to his Top Fuel Motorcycle motor and watch his crew make an engine change and then perform a start up. Enjoy history!

Lol no shit. Run a 7 in a car and there’s a million rules, regulations and safety requirements. Run a 5 on a motorcycle and just don’t die-but you probably will anyway so who cares about rules.

This has to be one of the most thrilling videos ever on CycleDrag, and the interviews were SO illuminating as to how and why Larry McBride is the 20 time world champion. Great video, Jack. And I thought I was fast back in the early 80's running a B-Altered turbo in 8.58 @ 157.87 (Nat'l records).

In 1953, Puckett Harley Davidson had a Harley top fuel bike (Big Bertha) that ran 125 mph in 1/4 mile and beat Don Garlits in his Buick-powered rail until Don returned one day at Kissimmee with the Hemi-Chrysler powered rail He made a warm-up pass at 144 mph. For the top fuel trophy pass, he ran 169. The bike lost and never ran again. Somebody has the bike. Kudos to Larry and crew for the Record.
