World record set as Kelvin Kiptum wins 2023 Chicago Marathon

I thought Eliud couldn't be beaten. His times are completely crazy. But what Kelvin Kiptum has delivered here is simply incredible. It's probably only a matter of time until the 2-minute mark is reached. And of course we are now waiting for the clash of the titans: Eliud vs. Kelvin!

For sure! The previous men’s record on this course was 2:03:45 which he beat by OVER 3 MINUTES! Berlin is a faster course where Kipchoge had the 2:01:09 world record from last year so I pretty much guarantee you Kiptum will drop a sub 2 hour barrier time in Berlin next year if the course conditions are favourable that day!
