Took me 20 minutes to work out how to leave the hunters dream for the first time. Didn’t realise you needed to use the grave to warp back and forth.

The skips you're referring to are not possible on current patch. Any% is run on old patch for this very reason. The reason I'm not doing wolf skip is because the fence skip is faster.

Nobody owns a world record. They only hold it. Beautiful run (double stagger Rom is wild). I'm glad it could be lowered. My 1852 has such a flawed wetnurse and shadows, it was not impossible to beat. I guess we'll see if anyone ever grinds the shard rng and seeks sub 1830. Again, great job!

i just finished bloodborne. so obviously the first thing i did was search up the world record speedrun and it felt weird to see you breezing past areas i spent hours in lol. this is so impressive tho nice!

Just finished the game last night for the first time and came to see what the Any% run was like. Amazing stuff. Also I literally only just now realized something about the game while watching this. There's a part near the end in Mergo's Loft where you can pull a lever that makes a giant brain mass with eyes that resembles a huge Brain Trust enemy come crashing down. I didn't realize until just now that that creature must be what's attacking you from a distance when you're heading towards the structure from the outside at 15:55.

Yup indeed. And you can go down where it falls for a couple things, but to interact with it, you also need to go in another location.

@@sambonbon755 You can interact with it?! Darn, I figured there had to be more to it. I did go down the hole a little ways and got the Blood Rock or whatever was there. I wasn't sure if there was a way to go any deeper, but I was so close to the end of the game by that point I didn't want to spend a ton of time exploring.

Load screens are not counted by the game as In-Game Time.

It's a glitch that allows you to dupe bloodstone shards by loading the item box.

This video makes me wanna get back into bloodborne. I miss 2020 no school playing this all night farming runes for my weapon 😂

I’ve seen a lot of blood borne speed runs but the skip to the rom fight has me absolutely shook when did that skip get found and why does it work is it patch specific or did they really just make the trigger that big

It was patched in 2015, so it's not something that's really relevant anymore.

Bloodborne was my first Souls game. And i still remember playing at launch after my best friend got me into. My ass was stuck in Yarnham for over an hour until i finally beat the Cleric Beast. This guy decided to run around like a madman and end the nightmare in less the time ut takes for Domino's to deliver my pizza.

@zanthais6989 The glitch was patched in 2015. You must own a copy of the disc from launch and be playing on the unpatched version of Bloodborne to perform the glitch.

Hi, I've just watched this and it's amazing to watch a game that gave me such trouble get smashed into pieces. I don't do speed running and I don't know how any of it works, but what was the bit where he quit and started a new character? What did that do? I'm guessing it's a glitch of some sort but I didn't see what it did.

Can anyone tell me what creating the new character does?

The IGT on the character says 18:01 and the runtime was 20:03, so where do you get the actual IGT from? Is it reviewed by speedrun mods? Sorry for the question. Great run btw!

I have answered this question several times already. The two characters used in the run are combined final times to make the final time in the run. 18:01 + 00:48 = 18:49. The time on my splits is merely a tool for me to keep track of my pace. There is no way to track IGT on a console game without checking it on the main menu. Thank you for the ggs FrankerZ

I've never watched or played Bloodborne before. This just happened to pop up in my feed. I was thoroughly enjoying the run until you ran past the babies crying, triggering my PTSD from my nights with my 3 month old baby girl, haha. Congratulations all the same 😂

What was the reason for the burgenworth quit out at 8:56? Was it to reset enemy placement? How about the saw cleaver toggles?

There is no quitout at 8:56 so I'm not sure at all what you're talking about. Toggling is just attempting to manipulate enemy AI. Most of the time, it just causes the enemy to attack faster and gets you killed.

Can you show how to do that coldblood dew trick, where it just reaches 99

I've answered this a lot of times already. The glitch is simple and straightforward, so there is no need for a tutorial for something this easy. you simply do the inputs you see me doing. if you fail to do the inputs quickly enough, you will lose your items though.

This glitch only works on 1.00 patch. It does not work on current patch.

I've answered this question in the comments many times. As I explained in the video description, most of the tech in this run only works on old patch. It is not viable for current patch runs. It is an underflow by simply dropping a negative quantity of the item while using said item at the same time, which resets the value to 99.

the dew is duplicated by underflowing. the shards are using the item box duplication method that was patched out in 1.01

The timer is in RTA and Bloodborne speedruns are always timed in IGT (In-Game Time). The second character is part of the route; it's used to set up the item box glitch to dupe blood stones.
