The electric powertrain is also designed and made by a brazilian company called WEG, aka. the brazilian ABB and Siemens.

An interesting city bus. Good to see MarcoPolo moving into the 21st century with integral construction and electric power. Lightweight is important to compensate for the heavy batteries. Haven’t seen a turnstile on a bus for some years now in Europe.

Pretty funny to see a ticket booth in such a modern bus. Would like to see a video on VanHool a12. Our company in The Netherlands ordered those :P.

Not all versions have the booth, some only have the card reader, and some have both :) this depends on the configuration for each customer.

If you're used too european buses especially german ones like Mercedes-Benz and MAN then this feels like going back in time a few decades 😅 I get that this is just a prototype but it won't change that much. Brasilian market is something else 😆 But nice video as always 😀

I think what the Brazilian market needs most of all are buses that are much more resistant to poor quality roads, and much cheaper buses, because they can't afford buses like the Citaro or Lion's City.

That’s true. This is a bus constructed for some more simple tasks than back in Europe. Still, it’s nice to see that the technology is following after

The problem with Brazilian market is that companies can't buy a bus or a car from outside, so the bus have to be completely build in Brazil, and the Brazilian manufacturer is horrible, it's one of the worst in the world

I just saw some videos of European buses in this channel, and as a Brazilian, I feel sad for this bus. And the companies here doesn't want a "futuristic" bus, what they want is a bus who can carry a lot of people, and it's cheap, because the companies need to make money for their owners, and in Brazil the companies doesn't make any money, so that's why they have a lot of horrible buses, cuz they're cheap

Nice bus! Is this bus brand only for Latin-American market? Because we don't see the buses of this brand in the European countries. Greetings from Sri Lankan boy in Belgium!

There is a handful of Marcopolo buses in Europe. Most of them are coaches with the Marcopolo Viaggio Bodywork on Irisbus Eurorider Chassis, but there were also some Marcopolo Senior Midibuses at TEC in Belgium!

Well like they said, Brazil is the main market but they're probably hoping to export the model to other places. Maybe not Europe but Africa and the Middle east are quite likely.

@@UHarshanBlackBoy1995 There's already a lot og competition in Europe that focuses on different design elements and build quality measures. Marcopolo knows the market isn't big enough for them so they likely focus on gaining market share in regions where electric buses aren't widespread and where they can then successfully sell an affordable model like this.
