Finally. Finally. Finally. Let me repeat that again: FINALLY. Here is the new 2023 RS6 Avant Performance. After years of begging from the people for Audi to release a more powerful version of the RS6, it’s finally here.
At the Audi Performance Days in event in Spain last week, for the media and all, I was one of the chosen ones to get a first glimpse of the new RS6 Performance and RS7 Performance. Normally they were supposed to be shot in a studio, but after asking nice, Audi let me take them out on the Circuito Monteblanco track, so at least I could snap some shots and videos in proper daylight.
The new Performance models have 30hp more power (630) and 50Nm more torque (850). Not only that, they are lighter. The official acceleration time is 0.2seconds faster down to 3.4 seconds, which for sure means 3.2 seconds in real life. More of everything changed in the new car in the info below. Enjoy!

Performance: 0-100kmh(62mph): 3.4sec (official), Top Speed: 305km/h
Color: Available in 16 different colors
Power: Thanks to larger turbocharges, the boost goes up from 2.4 to 2.6 bar
Weight reduction: Thanks to reduced insulation between the engine compartment, the interior and the rear of the car, it is 8kg/17lbs lighter. Also, the new 22” lightweight performance wheels, reduce the weight further by 5kg/wheel, compared to the aluminum RS6 22” wheel
Weight: 2090kg / 4607lbs
Gearbox: 8 speed tiptronic with now changed TCU for faster shifts
Technology: Strictly mechanical now lighter, more compact and self-locking center differential distributes engine power to the rear axle at 40:60 ratio, and if slippage occurs, the power goes 70-85% to the rear.
Steering: Self-steering response is more exact for more agile driving
Wheels: The new 22” lightweight wheels manufactured in a high-tech forging-milling process. One wheel is 5kg/11lbs lighter than the original 22” RS6 wheel.

Rsq8 is so good😮💨bmw X6 M is also one of the best looking cars out there but I prefer the interior layout of audi because it’s like a rocket ship. mercedes messed it up with the little box screen in front of driving wheel🤣
very good job Audi. I didnt expect this work of art. Luckily they didnt change the exterior - RS6/7 they are perfekt. The Sound is awesome in year 2022. You cant compare it to the standard RS6 sound. 630 hp you expected more? The new R8 GT got 620hp. But i miss the carbon seats and maybe it could be more lighter. But Audi did a great job🔥

There's something special about a high performance V8 engine station wagon. I love them!!!. Such a bad ass car. I wish here in America, all three car manufacturer would built a station wagon like the Audi. Last high performance station built her in the United States, was the 2014 Cadillac CTS-V wagon.

For the first time since 2014, I liked how the concern updated this model. Design without sharp and "protruding" lines, the best sides are correctly emphasized with a pleasant return to the roots. It doesn't feel like a very heavy car. Definitely liked the work of Audi, carried out by 2023. A smart approach to business and with attention to the origins, thank you!

1:30 I know it's taken straight from the press release, but I can't see any way that the Ceramic brakes are 34KG lighter than the steel brakes. I think it's a typo in the press release. I think the ceramics are 3.4KG lighter...

@@MidwestMotor Daytona Gray Metallic, Cognac interior, black optic package, driver assistance package, executive package, night vision, red brake calipers, and sport exhaust,. I selected dynamic ride control but my dealer said that Audi would probably kick that and build it with air suspension. That's ok, though. My 2021 RS6 has air suspension.

I'm surprised there isn't a single change in terms of grill, headlights and taillights, since this is supposed to be a C8.5 model, and they leave it looking the same as the normal C8 RS6 and RS7... Don't get me wrong, sure the C8s look the best they ever could, but still they could make some significant visual changes on the chassis...
