The new RS6/7/RSQ8 really need that soft limiter delete. I just shot an RSQ8 with no limiters, downpipes and sport cats and it sounds out of this world. So the engine has lots of potential. Your green beast will be missed Mat.

Ya, really. Soft limiter hurts the aura even more than the OPF but luckily it’s just a software that can be easily circumvented by the aftermarket suppliers I suppose

Mat, the weird sound from the shock absorbers is a piece of plastic saving the shock absorbers from dust. It's yellowish and wrapped around the damper and visible when the car is lifted up. I've got it fixed on my A6 yesterday 👍 it wasn't fit in straight but a little dislocated

My old Focus did the boot key thing back in 2011. Clearly a reason to opt for one of them.

After G63AMG and RS6... Next is BMW M3 for next 6 months.... what a life matt.... you are so blessed!! 🙌

When you put the car in drive, release the brake and then put the car back in neutral when you rolling slowly, you can rev it up to his maximum

That noise in the interior is the rear left seatbelt buckle as you pointed to the left rear side of the car. My dads 2019 Q7 had the same issue. The seatbelt buckle will rub up against metal under the seat which causes the noise.

Hey Mat, just a little correction: Min 11:15: the Side mirror has a blind spot warning light, which is the dark glass on the inside. The tiny light at the far end of the mirror is not a blind spot warning, but the actual indicator light, so it shows u that you have the indicator light on 😉 Otherwise i still am a fan of your channel 😜 keep up the great work. Cheers!

That suspension noise is with the adaptive suspension. I bought a brand new RS5 when they first came out in 2017. Did less than 1000 miles and I had to reject it as Audi couldn’t fix it. Good to see they figured it out then......🙃

because of a very cool neighbour this car was - after a fiat 500 - the second car i ever drove being 18 years old and omg it is fire. and i drove it in very tight spots as a beginner. So being able to get it home safe everytime - it sure was really manoeuvrable and easy to drive.

17:16 I 100% agree. One thing Audi does very well is the look/shape of the RS6. To me, it is the best looking wagon, and in some ways look way better than many other "sport" sedans, by far.

14:05 THANK YOU MATT for addressing that annoying issue with the google maps not able to replicate in the digital dash! In my 2018 golf R and wife's 2018 Q5 S-line, we have the same issue and the OEM maps system does not have traffic data unless you subscribe to it for like $4-5 a month and even if you do it's GARBAGE! they need to start listening to customers and allow their systems to be a little more integrated to apple carplay / android auto as that is what everyone is moving towards. Side note - the spotify music also doesn't display properly on the digital dash which is really frustrating!

Hey Mat, that's weird with the navigation system. I have the S3 2019 and it does replicate to the digital cockpit. Not sure where the bug is, on your or on my side :D Anyway, I like the built-in navsys much more - nicer voice and same quality. Never been in traffic jam, even on 5tkm road trip.

Finally, this man has helped me define him. I've been watching his videos - every now and then, mind you, not regularly - and I've never found just the right definition for the man himself. But in this vid, he does it for me! Well done you! "Trapped Monkey!" Spot on.

The weird noise from the back corner is most likely the bushing that connects the anti roll bars to the suspension. They are notorious for making that “trapped monkey” noise 😁

For my rs3. Even if I’m in dynamic mode, I go into neutral and then I have to press dynamic mode again to open the valves. It does sound a little better even with the soft limited.

Such an incredible color. If I had the funds, this would be the new car I buy. No question.

and weight distribution worse than this audi too :) nice time when bmw used to be sportier than audi...it's been a decade or so the other way around.

I‘ve recently had a regular A6 wagon for a couple of months and it had the same shock absorber issue, but it was WAY worse, later on it began to squeak on the other side as well. The guy at Audi told me it was an easy fix but a fairly common occurrence.

Had the same with my RS4. Got so sick trying to sort it (many thousands later) just got rid.

Hopefully someone at Audi watches your beefs and takes them to heart. They're all completely valid. (The mirror thing would drive me bonkers)

I had a noise in my audi A6 that drove me crazy, eventually I found it. Had to go inside the boot and remove the access panel on the left that allows you you get to the rear lights, inside was a Bose speaker block (not really sure what it was) that had came loose on its screw and was vibrating against the body of the car. Kept coming loose too over time

Would be nice to see a “living with an m5 competition “ for comparison

nice video! funny part is: I actually know where the "low lvl conversation monkey" is coming from. Had it in my Audi as well. Its from the rear shock absorbers where they worked in a hard rubber (or plastic) dirt guard. This dirt guard sometimes pops out of its guidance and is then compressed while driving. Thats where the sounds are produced. If not popped in again, the sound gets worse over time :-D

Excellent real user review - car manufacturers should get Mat Watson to test-prove their new cars before they set them up for production.

New daily driver is Bmw m3? don't know if it's the competition but excited to see how it handles with awd. Had Audi mostly cuz of awd, now every manufacturer is making their own flavor of awd will they be better than quattro? Maybe some with drift mode but overall liveability and excited to see the m3 in action matt. The best videos are always with you and yanni

Regarding the comparison between RS6 and E63s. My father has an RS6 since February and he really appreciated the Quattro AWD here in the german winter. Compared to the E63s it seems to be more stable and planted? But yea, according to what he says it could be said that the RS6 is the better and more secure daily driver, whereas the E63s is a bit more wild and exciting. But as for the drift argument, I've never seen anyone here in germany drift their cars. It's really a non-factor.

@@moa-wg3bo dark blue is for me *the* BMW color, although I love the M8 in a bright yellow ×_× He would not have bought the RS6 if we wouldn't need a sizable car (since the E63 got totalled). His AMG GT is just not suited to haul stuff, get groceries or when it's Christmas time: getting a tree xD Two seaters suck for that exact reason in my opinion, that's why wagons are the best cars in my opinion. But yea, optically I like the RS4 more too, since it's cleaner. Same goes for the F80 M3 and C63, I like them all more than their bigger siblings xD

Matt, I think the noise maybe coming from the rear seat latches. I had similar issue with my GTD and VW sorted it.

I think all audis make that sound in the rear corner when going on a weird angled bump. I've had an A6, and two S5's and they all did it. They also all started getting rattles in different spots after a couple years

@carwow Regarding soft limiters, if you put in neautral and roll a little it will rev up properly, just a tip I learnt when the dpfb was playing up on my A3 :)

There isn't a word about the ceramic brakes vs. steel RS brakes on the Internet. It would be appreciated to see such a comparison.

Great video Matt. I bought a new Vorsprung RS6 in Jan. Creaked and rattled. Needed a new water pump after 2 months. More creaks, rattles, buzzes. Got rid of it & now in an X5M Competition (Ultimate Pack). SO much better and superb build quality and with massage seats. Not discernably slower. A superb machine.

nice green, horrible interior color. White leather would fit so much better than tabacco leather here.

I compleatly agree on the carplay / android auto not duplicating on the virtual cockpit, i really don't understand why they can't implement that feature even with a software update on my Audi Q7...

so true about the super estates .. not much point unless you live in germany !

Yeah I know what you mean about the spec’s and having to bundle stuff together. I couldn’t get everything I wanted on a new Q7 but as a work around my dealership fitted running boards to the side after the sale 😉

Perfect color in and out

RS6 looks good, and would be a dream to own. VW-Group quality would/should preclude that dream for manifesting (i.e. besides finances). If you are lucky to drive it for 6-months, on someone elses $$$, then sure, it's worth "owning".

Absolutely no chance of mistaking the next daily for something else 🐽🤣

Yay, I'm excited ! Mat has made a good choice..... What's with Mat and a bunch of German Cars though?

Mat is getting the new m3 competition, NOW HE WILL NERD OUT, we all know he is secretly a bmw fanboy (and i have no problem w that) always the quality content!

I saw the video and immediately thought of softlimiter.

Hey Mat, i've had a similar noise coming from the back of the car. In my case it was the hook of the rear seats rubbing against the lock of the mechanism. Once the seats where folded down, the noise was gone.

I absolutely love that color on that car!

Matt, it would be useful to know, is that phone charging cable one that you can buy from a typical electronics shop, or is it an Audi specific one that you may need to pay like 100 quid for from Audi only.

BMW M3 Comp is your next car with the brand new wheel s. It seems more like a silver color actually..
